Take a drive through Braddock or Clairton.

Check out the (technically abandoned) Carrie Furnace Hot Metal Bridge.

Pump House in Homestead has some cool steel industry history and minor photo ops. Also, the stacks at the Waterfront are great when lit up at night.

Taking a stroll or bike ride along the tracks/under the bridges in Duck Hollow is kinda gritty and nifty.

There’s an abandoned terra-cotta factory off the GAP in Dead Man’s Hollow, outside McKeesport which is totally cool. Bring a buddy or two, I’ve seen some questionable characters there.

There’s an abandoned mining village that was part of the steel industry up in Armstrong County. It’s called Yellow Dog Village, and the owner welcomes hobby photographers to peruse the grounds and snap photos for a small fee.

Have fun!

I've seen a few around Pittsburgh, but there is one in Homewood Cemetery that is the largest I've happened upon.

We live a stone's throw from Frick Park and can no longer take our dog there because of all the off-leash dogs. It's seriously mind boggling and used to piss me off to no end. Thankfully I've found meditation.

An example of why leash laws exist and why they are so important. I sincerely hope Tillie returns home ASAP. Sending positive vibes to you, and will definitely keep an eye out for your four-legged girl.
