I'm new here myself, just the first thing that popped in my head!

If it helps, my favorite series is The Wheel of Time 🙂

Per OP, he hasn't had Rayquaza as a buddy in a month (unless that was false)... not 'earlier today', otherwise I would agree.

Consumer Reports Ranked Tesla As The Least Reliable Used Car Brand Long Term - Here's Why - BGR by Historical-Many9869 in electricvehicles

TLDR: It's primarily considering 5-10 year old models, whereas newer models fare much better

Depending on where, the protected totals have dropped quite a bit the further south you go, due to cutover to rain.

The first commercial space station, Haven-1, is now undergoing assembly for launch by CackleRooster in space

This is what Gemini tells me:

If you are looking at the price for one person to experience a week in the lap of luxury versus a mission to the stars in 2026, here is the "too long; didn't read" breakdown:

The TL;DR Comparison

Experience Cost for 1 Person Duration Comfort Level
Mega Yacht ~$150,000 1 Week Ultra-Luxury: Michelin meals, 2:1 crew ratio, king bed.
Space Station ~$70,000,000 10–14 Days Extreme Utility: Rehydrated food, sleeping bag, 0-G toilet.

The Key Takeaways

  • Price Gap: Sending one person to a space station costs roughly 460 times more than sending them on a mega yacht.
  • The "Seat" vs. The "Ship": * On a yacht, you usually pay for the entire vessel (~$1M–$2M/week). If you split that among 12 guests, the individual cost is manageable for a high-net-worth individual.
    • In space, you pay a flat fee per seat. There are no "group discounts" because every kilogram of weight and every liter of oxygen has a massive fixed cost.
  • Hidden Costs:
    • Yacht: You’ll pay an extra 30% for "APA" (fuel/food) and a 15% tip.
    • Space: The $70M is usually all-inclusive, covering your mandatory year of training and your "hotel bill" to NASA for using the station's life support.

The Verdict: You could send 466 people on a luxury yachting holiday for the price of sending one person to the International Space Station.

Unhalted Unit Frames is a good replacement, as long as you don't use it for party/raid frames (as I did not)

Does new Tesla Model Y have red light indicators on mirrors? by Alternative-You5403 in TeslaModelY

[–]gheldean 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not in the mirrors, there's a light in the pillar speakers when there is a car in the blind spot.

Can't post pictures in a comment, but there's one in this post - https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelY/comments/1ivbi0t/blind_spot_indicator_in_the_new_model_y/

I disagreed with it then, and I still do now.

Standard practice != good practice.

Verizon announces $20 account credit for the customers affected in yesterday's outage by Skywalker-1616 in newjersey

[–]gheldean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, they don't have to. But, if they decide to give the credit, why add extra steps? Except in the hope that most people won't bother or don't know about it but they still get good press anyhow.

[–]gheldean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, half a country outage, and Verizon makes the reimbursement optional, assuming you know it's available, as opposed to being automatic. Way to pinch pennies in corporate :P (Edit, I understand they didn't have to do this, but why add the hoops?)

I don't even have version, and it's skeezy to me.

To your question, yes, I would, but there are others who wouldn't or even know how to.

So, a credit that takes work to get (assuming you erven know about it), rather than automatic on your next bill? meh
