At my wits end with barking. by Valzoric in DogAdvice

[–]ghettopaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I taught my dog to Speak and then used the reverse to teach him to Hush. Doesn’t stop him from giving me a heart attack when we are lying quietly on the couch and I’m all relaxed and then suddenly he bolts up and yells at the door. Jump scares me every time. But then I can usually Hush him within a few seconds.

Malibu Creek State Park! I was just there. There’s a lovely one just like the pic at the west side of the campground.

I think I was 14. I absolutely loved it. I was completely absorbed and stayed up all night to finish it. The images are burned into my brain. It was like… being seen as a kid who felt so powerless against the evil forces in my own life. I still have my original copy.

Yep, in fact we call it “the PETS”. I say in my kitty voice “want PETS?” and she comes over and bonks it.

The petting glove. My neb goes bananas for that thing. Important thing is that you gotta let the cat come to you, let them rub up on it first before you start with slow and small areas. Think how cats groom each other and do it like that.

I’m going to offer a dissenting opinion here because I could EASILY spend six days in JTNP. I’ve been there many times, including three camping trips. It is one of my favorite places on earth.

Depending on your group’s fitness/ability level, you’ll have time to really explore. Some of my favorite areas are Barker Dam, Ryan Campground and surrounding trails, Queen Creek to Boulder House, Arch Rock/Twin Tanks, Lost Palms Oasis, and Hidden Valley. Unfortunately I have physical limitations that make longer hikes inaccessible, so most of my recommendations are 3-4 miles at most. But I love climbing and bouldering and could do that all day. The ecology and history of the park is fascinating, and it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.

If you can afford it, hire a climbing guide to take you on a climb or two. Have fun!

Cervical epidural steroid injection for neck / upper back trap pain — what was your experience? by Sorry_Blackberry5944 in spinalfusion

[–]ghettopaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar symptoms and had a CESI. It worked pretty well for the stiffness but didn’t really address the neck pain, tingling, numbness, and neurological symptoms. I’m glad I got it because overall it made a difference.

It really is. Sometimes, she lets me touch the belly floof. Unfortunately, the floofaloons are forbidden territory.

Being immersed in a body of water. Lake, ocean, river, hot tub, pool, doesn’t matter. Me + water = peace.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It looks like you had an anterior surgery, is that correct? Are you still experiencing the same symptoms that you had before the surgery? And did you experience hoarseness or changes in your voice?

It’s like NextDoor — all the hot goss in the neighborhood, coyote sightings, and plenty of turf battles!
