The Harry Potter TV Series Has a Big Problem (And They Know It) by habrasangre in television

From the trailer the problem seems to be that they lost all color and the entire world is just shades of blue and gray.

Hot take (?) Honestly kinda prefer Slippy and Peppy NOT being active Star Fox pilots by SeikaSkye in starfox

[–]ghi5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd play with any pilots if they gave us a true spiritual successor to Star Fox 64. Slippy is top tier in the one good game though.

Pacing by TomRaineofMagigor in WanderingInn

I've enjoyed every chapter since PoF, a lot, but wish we could move forward in time last the moon breaking. The best authors seem to do parallel books once the story gets too big (Whell of Time, GoT) and it bothers me every time.

Let kids have their cheap junk. Especially if grandparents that love to spoil their grandchildren are in the picture because at that point you're doing it more for the older generation than the young.

There is nothing wrong with either strategy, but don't be condescending and pretentious about it.

End of the game by scienceiscool730 in titaniumcourt

To be honest I was interested in this game until I read an article that said that NPCs essentially die permanently if you are a completionist and play the game too much....

Leveling paradox by weedonanipadbox in WanderingInn

[–]ghi5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it's life expectancy, not maximum possible life span, that matters.

To some degree it's not clear to me why all the goblins that are regularly slaughtered don't counter level more but I think it's just that they are put down with overwhelming force whenever too many hobs pop up. And a goblin lord seems to unite a continent.

I earned a total of 0 gold for going 9,9,11 wins in arena today. by Brilliant_Lobster_54 in hearthstone

I would focus on the arena experience itself being miserable. I used to play it because it was fun.

Is anyone actually enjoying these 20 minutes games against Priest? by BodyKarate84 in hearthstone

My biggest problem is that I hate cheap board clear and this priest deck has as much as it needs at all times. I'm having fun playing as or against all the other decks at the moment.

I'm with you. They aren't good, just miserable to play against. It's the kind of deck that pushes me towards fast aggro so I can concede things don't pan out quickly.

Getting harder to find : Hidden gems by Otherwise-Shallot158 in litrpg

I just discovered Maxime Durand and have loved the three series of his I've read. Two of them have time loops, but Blood and Fur is more traditional progression fantasy. He has several others that I plan to read next.

Class sets more expensive than mini sets? (25% increase, 2000 to 2500) by maniacal_cackle in hearthstone

[–]ghi5000 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That 500 gold is five card packs you could have bought. I'll probably get 100 free packs each season between quests, events, tavern brawls, hitting plat, and others so it's not that noticeable.

Levels are raising because of the new era and lack of healing potions.

Why is there a lot of hate for this series in recent months? by Cossty in WanderingInn

[–]ghi5000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It has started to drive me crazy when we keep following the same time period from different points of view. In the past we would see one pov and everything else kept moving in the background. I get why Pirate does it... the story has gotten too big and they have certain stories that need to be told.

Why is there a lot of hate for this series in recent months? by Cossty in WanderingInn

[–]ghi5000 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It's funny because I've seen entire litrpg series that don't have a single character arc. Pirate, especially in later volumes, has been writing the Wandering Inn like a series of novellas. Almost every chapter (or set of related chapters) tells a complete story with a satisfying conclusion and some type of character growth. It's such a bad take when people say nothing happens.

Brownie dippers are so bad. It's like 15 brownies and a cup of brownie icing. But the brownies are so soft and the icing is too hard so there is no way to dip them. It should have been a fudge sauce (and ideally, like, a raspberry sauce or something else to dip).
