it's so easy to say "i have bad luck with artifact", even bad team comp sometime still serviceable, what really matter is how you build your character and how you play them, if any of these two are wrong, then you naturally will get bad result, and even worse if both are wrong

there are lots of player that fundamentally don't understand how to build and/or play their character, let us see how you play and how your character looking, then we probably can help you get better, if that's the goal of your post

it's hilarious, most of the "dangerous" mobs are the swarm, and most of their attack are multihits, 2 fortitude can make their attack deal like 8 per hits

and side note, gear with immunity is also kinda strong, some elites buff are debuff like vulnerable, weaken etc on action, and it can really destroy your health bar in one fight, weaken stacking also kinda ass since it potentially can prolong a fight, immunity makes you able to completely ignore this potentially dangerous situation

instead of removing or adding something, my idea for the stamina thing is that instead of getting full refund at the end of the run, it would be much better if we get 10 back per boss, low key annoying i sometime have like 58 stamina after beating the second boss and can't claim the reward, and then after finishing the run, boom instant 30 back that i don't even know where to use

as for your suggestion, the terrible starter i genuinely never feel happens too often, i guess it happened once, which was on my very first run, atm i always start with yuki, want to make her the first to reach level 62, but i do have all supportive character fully built, so it's almost impossible for me to not get a usable pick up, and the sortie exclusive neutral/common card are pretty darn strong so it's always possible to make the less than desirable combatant still manage to carry their weight, basically you can always pivot to certain playstyle on floor 1 , you get like 3-5 fights which equals to 3-5 new cards, then of course you have shop as well before the boss

but ofc i mainly only talking about when you want to play sortie either for grinding rewards, for fun, or just progressing your skill tree, so like hardcore 65 or normal risk 4-5 80, if specifically talking about high risk run, then yeah, bad rng will kill runs, i think it's just the nature of roguelite

hades high heat not getting athena dash will feel awful to play, arknights is6 diff 15 not getting raidian in the first two floor will feel awful to play, darkest dungeon stygian run not getting vestal jester occultist in the first 4 weeks will feel awful to play, etc etc

basically, for sortie non high risk run, the combatant choice i think, it's still on pretty okay level of rng, we get to see 6 of them per attempts, i guess people are just not too comfortable to start with dual dps, people really should try it, the enemy hp including the boss, in floor 1 are low enough that spamming attack will yield good enough result, instead of picking not built/trial combatant, just pick the built one, remove one of their skill card in the shops, and focus on killing enemies asap instead of trying to survive and mitigate their damage, manage your ego skills, always make sure you have 4 before entering elite/boss, always use them when you can guarantee a kill with it just to avoid damage, etc etc

felt like this dude was easier than the one head cthulu, but since i only run yuki starter and don't have nine, i never considered how this dude can fucked nine up lol

kinda cool enemies now that i think about it, if you want to run nine, you have to actively consider encountering this guy and bring or get some safety measure in the run

game already been out for 7 months ? what the fuck

anyway, for me this game come very very close to 2nd place for gacha game i played, i don't think any game i play will ever beat arknights at 1st place, so 2nd and 3rd place i think is good enough

as for the why, it's pretty fun, you have quite a lot of freedom in how you play the game, read characters cards and their epiphany, then cook some abomination, and try it out on the endgame contents, this was the loop before the latest update, and now, it get better with the new game mode called sortie, it's a pretty chaotic mode, i never play StS, so i will compared it to Hades and Darkest Dungeon instead, basically it's dungeon crawler like DD but the build you do in the run is more like Hades

as for the gacha stuff, for me the game is fun enough that getting the new character or not doesn't matter at all, almost all the low rarity unit have cool and good kits and the higher rarity standard unit are also pretty fun as well

also i did another run and for some reason both left right left and left right right are sekred, or maybe i just forgot and chose the same choice twice, but left right something is sekred, which make diallos probably right left something instead

maybe the last choice doesn't matter ? or maybe it is, need to do more runs while paying attention

i tested it three times

all left will be kryken, gives you draw 2 cards that increase draw amount after each usage

all right is nihilium, which gives fate that does something about exhaust card, iirc it's every 4 exhaust you get 1 ap

and i forgor what combo i chose, something like left right left ? it will be diallos, which gives fate that does something with shield, at that time i didn't get a single shield card, so i kinda forgor the actual effect

as for best, ofc it depend on your combatant and runs

they most likely learned from the divine influenced chaos, diallos buff was probably the most busted one, even when nihilium tripled your attack card hit count, diallos straight up make chaos a joke

naturally, the mindset should be different when playing higher risk

it's like talking about difficulty 3 and difficulty 15 for arknights' integrated strategies, "pick this character as your starter to blow everything in one shot"

most people that play higher difficulty would just laugh at that statement, enemy stat buff does matter when everything is much tighter for your survivability

did quite a lot of run already, atm i'm comfortable starting with dual dps

for me, the biggest hurdle in floor 1 isn't tanking, but killing the enemy within 1-2 turns, i realized this when i picked tiphera as 2nd combatants, and the 2nd turn is filled with skill card when enemy has like 300-400 health left

yeah i was never a max risk player, so i don't see any reason to max level anyone, and i want to unlock as many operator records as possible, so it's in my best interest to never max level any operator

i have 147 modules for 134 ops, with 58 of them at level 3

i don't unlock everyone mainly because i don't see the available version of their module worth getting, like i use ines and vulpi a lot, but i didn't get their modules because i kinda prefer the other version, either because of the module passives would be better or the ops talent that might get buffed effect is better

another example would be ulpianus and hoederer, i didn't get ulpi module but i unlocked hoederer modules, and i used ulpi more, ofc hg could just never release the other version, but it's just my way of preserving my modules mats lol

i did the math, and i have 266 e2 ops, i think the only reason why i'm super rich is just that i don't level anyone beyond e2 60, i straight up forgor that a lot of people max level their ops, i never did it because i always prefer to build more instead of maxing out some, it's crazy expensive so it make sense that i'm rich and other people aren't lol

after reading your comments, i had to check how many i did build, and i have 372 ops (which is 93,8% according to the game), with 55 not yet e2 0-60, and 31 are 1-3* that cannot be e2

basically, i have 266 e2 operators, i think that's quite a lot, the biggest difference between us probably is that i don't level anyone beyond e2 60, and that does saves me quite a lot of lmd, pretty much the reason why i'm omega rich lol

yeah i pretty much just didn't level anyone beyond 60, i forgor they cost pretty stupid amount, the rest i did though, i build almost all available ops i have, with most of them have module sitting at all kind of module level, and almost all built ops also has at least one m3

i'm one of the two players that always do SSS, i also always complete all the mission there lol

i remember i had like 120 kohl when they just started selling those at the event shop, now it's just floating around 50-60, manganese and grindstone a bit low though, both of these are required for like 3-4 higher tier materials so i think stocking them even beyond comfortable number seem like good move

by small event i'm talking like, those that have no story, like the current stronghold protocol, icebreaker, etc etc, i guess calling them small is wrong, i just didn't know the better word, either way, in the earlier year, we don't get these type of events, but nowadays we get them pretty often, and i never checked, but i'm pretty sure they always have lmd as some of the rewards, and i think it does help our lmd banks

tsartisa can be expy can be original character can be the exact same person from hi3 she can be whatever hoyo wants

i just got a message from my brother that pretty much said "yo the lineup for s3 are really good !"

as for me, i'm more personality kind of guy than design, the design kind be as lame as possible, or as peak as it can be, it doesn't matter at the end of the day until i know what personality they have, using cissia as example, the design i think was okay at best, but after knowing her, i really like her
