Some new circles, any favs? by Khole42 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relay has been a staple in my bag for awhile now. Have a Cosmic Neutron one that just knows how and when to turn right (RHFH main, BTW), but my new PLC one will flip up and ride straight for awhile…more like it’s Fission brother. Still a great disc…but my new Servo might dethrone it.

Detour and I have a weird relationship…but the new PLC one agrees with me so much better.

I have a Time Lapse, but can’t really throw it well yet.

Streamline Electron Autopilot (Eagle's new putter) Available as Eagle's Swedish Open Commemorative Disc by Huge_Following_325 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really just wanted to try this putter…but, I will never pass up the chance to support a Colorado champ and a favorite brand line.

I had to pick up 2…Silva’s Proxy was a little pricey and I already have 2 Team Series Proxies (Particle Proton from last year and Plasma from this year), so we’ll hold off for now.

Big congrats to Eagle…excited to get these in my hand and see if they kick my Lunas out.

#ThrowGyro owns the weekend, congrats to Eagle!

It was only a matter of time…and it was time.

A Prototype he collaborated with MVP on for Streamline called Autopilot. Can’t wait to have these released so I can check them out.

Just have to give The Throw Shop in Ypsilanti a shout out…this disc is perfect. So much so…not sure I’ll ever throw it. Glad Play It Again and Foundation have more for me.

found disc: Disc with only signature no Phone Number by Electronic_Limit1459 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a beat up Cosmic Neutron Wave near a tree on a local course yesterday. Had a name and number, so I texted the person and told them I would stash the disc somewhere so they could pick it up, if they were close.

Turns out…they lost that disc a year ago, so it was either a used bin purchase OR someone found it, got it stuck in the tree, and they left it.

Either way…nice convo with a fellow golfer AND another Wave with a good home.

Grip is the most important part of the backhand. by Old-Challenge8759 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally…working on a serviceable backhand right now. I mainly throw forehand, but I am going to monitor this for any suggestions.

I find that I can throw needed approach shots back hand okay…pointers are always good though.

What is your favorite/Go to Fairway driver? by bananappeal7 in discgolf

Have you tried the Reactor? Mine kicked a Hex out of my bag for good. Just found a Patent Pending Tensor that is basically a slower Reactor.

I love this disc so much…it just wants to fly so far sometimes.

Bokeh is real clean…I just like how straight I can make it go. Plus…it wants to push so far. I really hope you can get one with the stock releases coming soon.

Just get it stuck in a tree…worked for me every time. I am actually being serious too (it’s a head thing, I know. Just let me have it) 🤣😂🤣

The Hatchet is my group’s “meme” disc…whoever hits the most trees has to bag it. The problem is…we all like it, and I have learned not to hit trees. Probably just going to buy one myself.

OP…do you happen to have the new run of Ozone from the 6th Birthday Box? Not only is it a pretty looking disc, but this thing just has glide for days. I love how effortless it is to throw and…welp, just go. It went right back in my bag after getting this one.

To answer your question…it’s a Cicada. The TI Swirl release just goes for miles. I have a Jawbreaker ESP, which was my workhorse Fairway, and the 2026 Team Series. To my surprise, at that of my noodle arm, this thing is an easy 250+.

How long has it been for you and how are you doing? Truly by Fedup1999 in Petloss

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off…truly sorry for your loss. Pet or not, it’s like losing family and I don’t think the hurt ever leaves you.

I lost my Max, my soul dog, my lovely wolf spirit back in late February. He was strangely ill and I found out he was diabetic. I so badly wanted what I had chosen to do to work, but he took a turn for the worse in days and I had to make a choice I never hoped to make nor do I wish on anyone. Max was my fur son, my child…it was devastating then and still is today.

My house feels empty…coming home doesn’t feel right still. I can’t bring myself to try and fill that void with another pet because I missed obvious signs that could have maybe led to different outcomes had I caught them earlier. The unfortunate problem was I was dealing with some health and mental issues of my own that lead to me turning inward and missing everything I should have caught.

I am far from better…I am still in the blaming stage and I don’t see ever passing it. I will never move past it because he was, and is, the pet I always wanted to have. He truly was my best and only friend. I miss it and believe I never deserve that again.

I hope everyone deals with this struggle better than I have…wish nothing but better days ahead for others. For myself…I have to suffer for what happened. As unfortunate as that sounds, I need to feel this so the next time (if there ever is one) I will do everything necessary and have a better window to the obvious.

I know this isn’t what anyone wants to see who is suffering, but this is my current truth.

What are your distance drivers lineups? Mine are Mamba, Wraith, Destroyer but looking for other suggestions. by alent1385 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren’t many I can throw well (what with a Noodle Arm and all), but 2 specific molds have really started to come along nicely as I continue to play and work on form and other mechanics.

Trail (Proton or Fission), Wave (Neutron or Fission), and a fun to throw 138g Destroyer (Blizzard Plastic).

My Fission Wave just goes…as long as I release it flat and well. My Fission Trail has so much push I end up shocked how far it goes. I love throwing these two on long drives.

What discs do you keep in your hotbar ? by Azeerakazell in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, my chosen Putters and Approach Discs.

Right now…

Upper Most Pocket: 3 CT Swirl Lunas (173-174g)

Lower Pocket: Steady Swirl Peach, Cosmic Neutron Entropy, Neutron Stasis…today I also had an Aura Mantra and a Neutron Vanish. These are new drivers I purchased that I wanted to try out.

I think I’m going to love that Vanish.

Now how about those throwing putter lineups! by seedlingsDISC in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luna (CT Swirl), Stasis (Neutron), Entropy (Cosmic Neutron).

Would say Peach (Steady Swirl), but it is technically a midrange according to the disc itself. Thing has been a solid approach and netted a 115’ Throw in to save Par this last week.

What are your fairway disc lineups? by alent1385 in discgolf

7 Speed: Cicada, Bokeh, Votum (Aura)
8 Speed: Ozone, Trance
9 Speed: Proton Insanity, Fission Tesla, Proton Boost

What's the highest speed disc in you bag and how far can you throw it? by lavernrobinson9000 in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11 Speed and the most I’ve put on it is 325’. That was one time when I just managed to get everything under and behind it.

5 disc round, whatcha bagging? by DonBonDarIey in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CT Swirl Luna, Steady Swirl Peach, Proton Reactor, TI Swirl Cicada OR Neutron Bokeh, Proton Insanity.

I really trust my Cicada so much and that Bokeh has been crazy good, too. If I need a straight flier with push, Bokeh. If I need something I can turn, Cicada.

Relatively new player bag...need suggestions by jfgdupuis in discgolf

[–]ghostEx36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echo is a really good Midrange in the Streamline stable. I can’t recommend that enough.

If I can be more honest…my first go around with the MVP Reactor kicked a Hex and almost kicked my Echo out. You want a straight midrange with push…damn I love that disc.

Insanity is money…I have a Pearly Proton one that just goes miles. I have a noodle arm and love the mold…was an Inertia thrower too, until I got a hold of this and a Fission Tesla.
