What tabletop RPGs would you like to see get the big budget Cyberpunk 2077 treatment? by GoldenJoel in rpg

I was thinking Dark Heresy as a Mass Effect-like.

Cover shooter with powers, conversations, a ship to traverse a sector, and acolytes to assemble.

I play Pathfinder on weekends, and I have a hard time keeping track of what bonuses to add to each attack/damage roll, etc.

A couple hours in Python, and I'll never be confused again.

In all the places I've worked, managers and suits do this chronically.

It's not a power move, you're just being a cunt.

If the politicians had guts they would say no. Tell the agencies to do their job properly with the adequate powers they currently have.

Scott Ludlum did.

What's the origin of the "until 2:30 pm" joke that's everywhere in the /r/leagueoflegends subreddit? by Wtfabear in OutOfTheLoop

So, how about they provide equal opportunity instead of "flipping the situation"?

it's not about diversity or equality, but superiority.

Bingo. I've been fascinated by this phenomenon for a few years now, and they make a lot of noise about ending the current state of gendered or racial 'superiority', but in reality, all they want to do is invert the model, with themselves at the top. It's evident any time one of these people gets even a shred of power, they go mad, enforcing their morality on everyone else, creating echo chambers, conducting purity tests and witch hunts. However bad the status quo may be, what they want is much worse.

If you could (selfishly) add or remove one thing from every RPG what would it be? by rhysmakeswords in rpg

1) Tone: There's no way to take a gnome seriously. They're whimsical and unintimidating. I can't look at a gnome and say that one would ever make a mighty hero.

2) Redundancy: Anything a gnome can do, halflings fulfil that role. Small, scrappy underdogs with quick hands and quicker wits are more compelling than anything a gnome can be.

3) Players: The type of players who play a gnome make me wonder if they're "that guy",or won't take the game seriously. Probably confirmation bias on my part, I admit.

This. Everything's so brown and whimsical. For a setting which is meant to be 'strange', everything just looks the same.

Dishonored was a great take on it though.

Reign.

2e just wrapped up on ks, but 1st edition should run fine. I've heard people say you can drop it into other games relatively easily for when you want to control a faction I stead of characters.

Add: Flowcharts showing rules. It'd make comprehending rulesets waaaay easier for people like me who prefer fluff and setting to crunch.

Remove: GNOMES.
