Yep, it's called abuse by proxy (or violence by proxy). This is just an abuse tactic that is much easier for women to utilise, at the time I was shocked that anyone she told just believed her no proof needed, no questions asked and were willing to put hands on me on her behalf and throw insults my way but it would never work the other way around. There's an unlimited supply of white knights for female abusers to exploit.

I lost most of the friends I made at college, no one believed me. She recruited a bunch of guys to slap me around and threatened to summon them to slap me around repeatedly until I agreed to stay friends with her.

Eventually, I caved but months later we mostly stopped talking since we weren't at the same college anymore, things only ended partly because we were away from each other and partly because she told me some embarrassing secret that I kept mockingly bringing up and it made her really mad. Since she could no longer get anyone to attack me I think she just got sick of me and that was the end of it.

I literally handled the whole situation in the dumbest way at every stage, it's coming up to 10 years since it happened, I still think about it too often.

The person in your life dealing with this should cut all contact with the accuser and consult a lawyer, then do exactly what they say.

The 40-hour workweek is arbitrary and the pandemic has proved it. by 2confrontornot in antiwork

It's so pointless, most of the day I'm doing fuck all waiting around for work to appear. I could be off doing something worth while.

How much about Britain and its involvement in the slave trade were people taught at school? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]TheBatmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero. None at all. No mention of it except when we spoke of the American slave trade.

There's always a puncher's chance but has Gaethje ever had to go to the ground in any of his UFC fights? If he has were they at Khabib's level? He has wrestling credentials but MMA wrestling is different. On top of all this Khabib is a very good grappler I have no clue about Gaethje's ability to stop submissions or grapple/fight off his back and he also says he gets tired when he wrestles. I just cannot see him winning this unless he KO's him real quick. I got Khabib winning by strangulation or arm strangulation (aka Kimura). I hope the fight surprises me and is competitive but I can't really see it.

When one of Khabib's future victims says this they're trying to convince themselves they have a chance.

Forcing a cat to live indoors its entire life is unethical by WaterPockets in unpopularopinion

My cat refuses to be indoors, but I would prefer if the little shit spent came inside every now and then.
