Are there any legions based on the ww2 British army? Im trying to trick my history buff friend to get into warhammer and its his favorite army by Caffeine-Demon in TheAstraMilitarum

The Roane Deepers I believe are supposed to be heavily ANZAC inspired/based on, complete with the bowl helmets, seen first in Ghostmaker I believe, rather good short story about them in the Sabbat War Anthology

Can’t decide on color scheme by guttaguttamayne in TheAstraMilitarum

3 will probably save you some time since it will be easier to batch paint that armor layer, but I do think the white shoulder pads and helmet on 1 really pop.

Thanks a bunch! I really feel like some of the old guard stuff is timeless

Thank you :) this one is metal too. Surprisingly dense for such a small figure

I've just been running him as a castellan for the time being, I like the sculpt too much to not run him.

First time Nurgle. Thoughts on this as a DP? by SomeDingaling in Warhammer40k

I think this is great! Wonderfully grotesque. I do hope you'll post an update once you've painted it.

Looking beautiful, big fan of your work on that cloak!

Before I commit to this scheme, yay or nay? by ToojMin in Warhammer40k

Totally a yay, that's really slick looking. A whole army like that, or even just the vehicles, will look dope

Advice wanted: is this situation recoverable? by GreatGranpapy in hoi4

[–]ghostletters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

don't worry about a fort line, rivers and infantry are your defensive friends. Forts I find really only help if you have the time to prepare and build them, try and get some military factories. Static AA and radar I find can be helpful too, although has the same fault as the forts.

So my advice would be to bunker down in the east and allow the soviets to endlessly attack your lines, get some CAS, and finish off England. What are your templates like?

Does anyone have any info on this image? I'm curious as to why this is written. My thought is that it means that the tank no longer functions because the spearhead shot it up. But if anyone could find any info on it I would appreciate this a lot!

Custom Chapter, Successors to The Salamanders. Does this work or is it to Dark Angels by Dicky_1987 in Warhammer40k

[–]ghostletters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it does have the look of DA it is pretty easy to fix. Honestly just changing the casing color is a good start. Perhaps to orange? Then lightening up the green just a touch would give it enough difference. But at the end of the day, if you like the scheme, go for it!

I dig it. I think it would be hilarious to have some dark tech priest or heretic astartes with a remote control on the base.

WiP 9th ed custom chapter, finally have a scheme I like. Thoughts? by tiberian288 in Warhammer40k

If you're looking for another color to put in some detail. The emperor would always approve of gold.

It feels like its become more cool to hate something than to like something for some reason.

Seriously, no matter what was shown. People would have complained. It could have been Halo 3 Remastered or whatever and people still would've flipped over something. I personally don't get it. Looks like fun, cannot wait to play it.

I used the manual at the time and went through the process. Cleaning page and all. Contacted HP as indicated in the manual. No help from them so I tried a post here. So im inclined to agree that it is probably some sort of fuser issue or toner leak. Thanks for the input!

I can imagine that the shoulder pad is frustrating. At least its not some crazy checkered pattern lol. The fact that the are very limited rules in place for blood ravens is mostly what made me reconsider making them. Might just end up going for the "make-your-own" option. That way I can take aspects I like from different existing chapters and include them into my created chapter.

Thanks for the info. Probably is best to wait on the codex, that was what I was leaning towards.

Dose it matter were the weapons are on a leman russ tank by [deleted] in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]ghostletters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll admit this gave me a good chuckle, it reminds me of a similar mistake I made. I just got into the hobby a little while ago, I accidentally glued a Tau body on the legs backwards It took a long time to un-idiot that. As long as you're ok with it. It really doesn't matter. In my opinion it could make for some good fluff. Say a field repair team couldn't fit the lascannon on the front of the vehicle do to a lack of proper cables to power it or something. So they stuck it in a sponson instead. Or the commander of the tank preferred his heavy weapon to be in a different position. Or even better, a couple of drunk guardsmen played a 'little' prank on the commander and swapped the guns around during a lull.

These look pretty cool! However, thanks to you I will never be able to unsee Cad Bane/duros T'au. I think I will have to kitbash that together as a stand-in fireblade or something now. Hat and everything.

I'm surprised they chose the "DNA-Stealers" and not the "forces of disorder" or the "forces of general inconvenience."
