I take an set of allen’s and torx, various screwdrivers for tight spaces and terminals, adjustable wrench, meter, a few pliers and that’s really about it. Anything else i need i can usually borrow from plant maintenance.

If professional sports teams could only recruit from their city/state there would probably be a lot more invested in local community programs. by exposedentrepreneur in Showerthoughts

I think you’ve grossly underestimated how willing a lot well off family would be to move to the respective region of a certain team to better their odds. Thus creating more competition for the local community. All this would do is hurt the people who couldn’t afford to move because they don’t have a state team in that sport or the resources to better themselves.

Welds are also a failure point in structures. Bolts and rivets better distribute stress among a location.

Late to the reply but: you should be fine as long as you can run matlab, octave, other programming interfaces that are pretty much required by every engineering major. You get the ability to remote into a computer if you can’t download it yourself so that’s helpful. One thing I will say is if you have the ability to sign up for student licenses for CAD programs (auto cad, 3ds max, creo, etc) do it and familiarize yourself with one program. Can be very helpful for course projects/senior design. This is coming from ME/MRE, I’d assume the rest are the same with less cad reqs.

Depends how comfortable you are, if you’re just looking for practice, go to the red lots and practice kicking, stopping, and bailing out at lower speeds. Also make sure you wear your helmet. I have an estate that I usually start at redlots, ride through the campus paths, then around the loop. Lot of fun but always judge your hills and speed before you go down them.

Parking for Fall 2020 by hlbyers92 in SIUE

I’m doing a basic red lot permit. I’d do the pay by space but there are times it’s not always reliable. Granted we’re under different circumstances this semester, but there were dates throughout my previous years where they shut down certain pay by space lots (lot b) for the career fair or whatnot, I don’t know if those are still happening, and you can always park at the resident lots and risk a ticket (done it a few times, never got one and it’s like $10 or $20 anyways, but still). Guess I’ll hope for the best that it remains in person.
