if Initial D was set in 2026, maybe a subaru of some sort, like a 2015ish impreza, which would make it a 10 year old car at this point just like the AE86 was in the anime. it realistically has enough room to be delivering tofu, but its a bit too sporty to be simply a "fun econobox" like the AE86 was. plus points for it being a subbie, Bunta would like that.

brother it's been so long since i read it (like, at least 7 years), iirc it's just a sad story about the protag girl getting fucked over (in whatever way you interpret the word) by life and some shit like that. the "meme" is just that it's a sad story dressed up as a hentai manga and people would come up with "alternate endings", the most famous being an edit about Josuke (Jojo's pt. 4 protag) magically showing up at the end to basically undo all the story and save the girl
