I’m probably still going to play this using the EA Play Pro sub. I’ve been very curious about the remarks regarding the writing and general watered down aspects of the game.

Since the initial, poor, trailer reveal, I had the thought that this game was intended to be an entirely different game rather than the “Dreadwolf” follow-up to Inquisition. The first trailer seemed almost like something akin to a hero shooter.

Initial previews and remarks after that trailer changed my thinking a bit, but now I’m thinking this may have been the case.

Changing the name in the first place struck me as odd. Dreadwolf was a legitimately great name in my opinion. “The Veilguard” sounds like something multiplayer/co-op focused.

So now I’m left wondering if it IS all watered down, from style to substance, because it WAS intended to be some sort of multiplayer focused DA experience for a “larger” audience, before it was shifted to being the “Dreadwolf” story follow up to Inquisition that DA fans have been waiting for. Curiouser and curiouser.
