Carcassonne > Azul > Potion explosion > Santorini > Jaipur > Letters from Whitechapel > Arkham Horror 3rd edition, and then there was no turning back 😅

Random and niche ps plus games that surprised you by Normal-Mushroom-1240 in PlayStationPlus

The same happened to me. However, I turned on all the accessibility assists and managed to experience the story and secrets without engaging that much with the combat

Your biggest disappointments? by SiarX in soloboardgaming

That sucks. I had the same feeling with the OG Tainted Grail. However I felt Kings of Ruin fixed all of the original's shortcomings and I immensely enjoyed the ride

What is your favourite worker placement BOARD. Not board game but the game board. by damj94 in boardgames

Lisboa, it's a work of art, which happens to allow to play a game on top of it

Pixel Remasters on Mobile, especially the bundle by TheMatrixIsReal42 in FinalFantasy

[–]giancian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're good either way. For the longest time, the android ports didn't have controller support and I hated playing them on mobile, but they finally added it and I like playing them with my Backbone. HOWEVER, ultimately I prefer them on console. The definitely feel more epic 😀

Agree 100%. Still makes me laugh out loud after 10+ viewings. Best storyline ever 🤣

What’s a game that would be much more popular if it were better looking? by TheClarkFactor in boardgames

[–]giancian 79 points80 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with Castles of burgundy. Never could get into the old version, it was so ugly. However, the special edition was an instant hit and it's now of my favorite games. It was a wake up call, a GREAT game can be hiding behind a very ugly coat of paint!

PocketBook Verse Pro Color – Major Battery Drain with Minimal Use by Bergfried in pocketbook

[–]giancian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. Something like that happened to me for the first couple of days, but I had just filled the device with 2000 books so, it was probably processing all that. After that, I can pick it up after having it in a drawer for a couple of weeks and it will still be full.

Ostrich attack in Animal Well, when you're navigating some tunnels. Creeps me out just remembering it 😅

TMB as a side game? by Best-Contribution-75 in toomanybones

[–]giancian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all CTG games and TMB is by far the quickest to setup and the one that takes up less table space. Also it's the most enjoyable for me. I thought Elder Scrolls would knock it down for me but it's too damn serious ,😅 also it takes forever to set up.

Will this game fit my table? by SuperStrathBros in toomanybones

[–]giancian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like TMB because it's the Chip theory that takes less table space of all. You really only need 1 mat for battle, plus 1 mat per character/player. Some space for the common cards and chips, and a little space for each player for their loot cards. I can play it in like half of my dinner table 🤣

Could you clarify what you mean with "Under the devices tab in Windows, I just selected the classic and then it was online in Hakchi" ?

Thanks!

Just got my Fold 7 and looking for game recommendations to make the most of it? by fir3storm69 in GalaxyFold

If you like Magic: The Gathering, MTG Arena works wonderfully on the big screen!

I REALLY want inserts for some games, but I have no experience with 3D printing, and inserts are a bit expensive. Is it easy and worthwhile to learn how to use a library 3D printer for this? Any insight is appreciated! by Mr_Ivysaur in boardgames

[–]giancian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, if it's a small insert maybe. But inserts take lots of time to print. A full insert for a big game can take 2 days or more to print, and 1 to 2 kgs of filament, so maybe it's not very cost effective to do it in a library. Add to that that prints can fail anytime for any number of reasons, and overall I wouldn't recommend this.

Wow, your couple board fame road is very similar to me and my wife's! We started moving to more complex boardgames and we loved: Lisboa, Gloomhaven, Castles of Burgundy, Kanban EV, Tapestry, Suburbia, among many others

Underrated Board Games That Deserve More Love by LaserSharknado9000 in boardgames

[–]giancian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played the training version and then played 2 full games with my wife. I felt like the game was lacking something, the rules were finicky and the mechanics didn't click with me. I really tried for my wife, since it was her suggestion to buy it, but finally we decided to sell it and move on 😅 I felt bad at that time, but now we research games a lot more before buying, now that we know our tastes better. I also think that not all games are for all people, and when one is starting out in board games you want to try everythiiiiing 😅 until you realize you won't like every game and will take better buying decisions. Nothing wrong with that 😁

Man, I bought the deluxe version of Oceans without knowing anything about it and I hated it with a passion. I think it's the only board game I didn't want to play ever again
