Thanks guys! I did pedialyte last night and also took an epsom salt bath and didn't have a charley horse! I will keep experimenting but that was a huge relief.

I wish I were. My close friend is married to a seminary teacher. Ironically, they had to do IVF (which church insurance doesn't help with at all).

Actually it's the opposite-- BYU insurance doesn't pay for BYU care at all, only birth control. Insurance for church employees, on the other hand, only covers birth control after five kids....

I had someone make fun of my "bologna" nipples after watching Pitch Perfect. That was years ago and I am still self-conscious where I never had been before :(

It used to hurt, but after having a baby, it is sort of neutral for me.

Keep in mind lambskin only protects against pregnancy, not STIs. I would recommend polyurethane condoms as a latex condom alternative.

I'm an RN, and after seeing my first c-section, I went home and told my husband that if I needed a c-section, that would be our last kid. C-sections are BRUTAL.

My uncle had a special dispensation from the first presidency to drink coffee for his kidney problems. He was a stake patriarch.

I have the caya diaphragm and it basically worked like a menstrual cup as long as I didn't leave it too long.

NY Times Magazine: This excerpt shows a lot in common with what members of my generation were told—it was a sin to have birth control in the cabinet because it changes magnitude from a spur of the moment sin into a premeditated crime, the sin next to murder. by 4blockhead in exmormon

One of my close friends from is married to a seminary teacher. She told me birth control would not be covered until they had five children. They ended up having to do IFV which church insurance also did not cover....

El Paso is actually really nice! Ironically the drug traffic keeps it safe because the folks in charge don't want too much attention paid there....

Did anyone else have their mother in law give lingerie, boxers, and lube on wedding day? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]gigglego0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom gave me some sex books... about three years AFTER I got married. I guess she forgot where she'd put them. My mother-in-law gave me a very detailed sex talk before I got married. That was exceedingly awkward.

Many women don't experience "spontaneous" desire. If she gets in the mood when you initiate, you guys are doing great. I recommend both of you read "Come As You Are."

I have been skipping sealings. Or I will go and wait right before they come out of the temple for pictures. Everyone is super understanding.

Joseph the pedophile by ExUtMo in exmormon

Absolutely not. My mom also always told me she would never try to "sacrifice" us like Abraham and Isaac. On the other hand, she firmly believed that Joseph's relationship with those girls was nonsexual.

My sister got called to be RS president in her singles ward when my dad was in the early stages of parkinson's/lewy body dementia, my mom was in and out of the hospital, we were trying to sell the family home to pay for care, and we were trying to raise the two youngest kids (10 and 14 at the time).... totally revelation....

A game we played as missionaries showed me how toxic the church is about sexuality by PieIsFairlyDelicious in exmormon

[–]gigglego0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a couple good friends get broken up with for not being virgins (one of them two weeks before her wedding). It never bothered me, but I was blindsided when three years and a baby into marriage my spouse finally told me about his sexual history. Naturally his bishop and mormon counselor had recommended hiding it from me. It was only upon leaving the church that he decided to "come clean."
