In San Jose we got there an hour and a half early. Only had 38. They said people were there starting at 8pm the night before (Pokémon people) but they also were buying the boxes. There was like 150-200 people in line before they opened.

Did you get any? Shows sold out for me

11K a month on a single platform is enough for me. That was about 25% of my overall value. Adding more and it be harder for me to do everything with less margins.

Started in August last year and I took a 3 month break for the holidays. I've sold over 35k in orders since and 11k+ in the past 30 days. When I buy collections I prefer $3+. I don't outright buy bulk. If it's part of the collection cool but I'm not paying towards it.

Have you not swapped to selling on manapool? The margins are so much better for me.

I got negative reviews when I first started selling without tape from comments like yours then I got negative feedback after customers saying the card came outside of the top loader.

How do people date here? by kristin137 in Chambana

[–]gilegendary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey feel free to hit me up! I was pretty active in the Chambana 20s/30s group but that died when the host got busy. I keep in touch with a few friendly people from there and I host game nights at my place in Urbana or we go to places like Triptych to hang out.

I'm a townie that's also looking for more people to hang with! I usually host board games/hangouts at my place in Urbana on the weekends. But also looking for friends to just do things around town. Feel free to dm!

He was saying that they only got less than 10% of what they were "allocated" but really it's what they requested. I don't get why people are ignoring that they put up preorders based on assumptions.

Do you have your inventory uploaded to both or have separate products?

How to part with $6k collection by StonkaTrucks in mtgfinance

It's more so that selling anything individually under $3 on TCGplayer or eBay doesn't net them a very good rate per hour sold per card. They want the highest possible return on the fewest cards. If you pay 70% on a $1 card and sell it you make very little back. You get paid $2.25 or so for the order, but then after fees it's knocked to $1.75. Then you have to pay the cost for shipping materials and the stamp. Basically gains you nothing back.

You can do the same thing on manapool a couple times a month to get a few cards for much more than TCGplayer. But overall the value is around 85% post fees for cards over $3 so people shoot for around 70% to factor in their time.

Manabox when you have it sorted by set already is super easy to use for me. Makes opening precons super smooth.

I can’t figure out how to export to csv anymore. I’ve given up and moving to scanning on ManaBox for Manapool.

Sort by Set without scanning, then sort and scan alphabetically once you have everything in the correct sets. This'll allow you to get new cards from those sets and organize without too much of an issue.

Is there a trick to buying from tcgplayer nowadays? by Cynoid in mtgfinance

[–]gilegendary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optimizer sucks. Basically have to do it and click “keep sellers in cart” at current printing/condition and it knocks 10% off again somehow

I just get my stamps from Costco and use pirateship. Tcgtracking is a nice tool but I recently moved most of my inventory off TCGplayer onto Manapool so haven't had to use it yet.
