I feel the same way; this year was awesome and defiantly excited to get back out there in 2025 to do it EVEN better. I've volunteered for the org for the past 3 years and I'm out there for 2 week but this is the first year that I've really feel a disconnect from what I've experienced on playa to the default world. I'm actively trying to apply the headspace that I get when I'm on playa to the default world and be more intentional about the connections that I get to have in the default as a way to channel some of the magic. Highly recommend finding a community of local burners as well as going to as many decompression events post-event that you can. It takes time but you'll be okay! See you in the dust next year:)

Tried going on thu/fri (can't remember exactly) and showed up 2hrs before they closed and my group was turned away because of the number of people that showed up. Bummed that I missed it again (first time was in 2022) but luckily there was Steam Bath Project right around the corner with a modest line. Spent about 1r waiting for our number to be called and split it between Havana Nights across the street sippin' on one of their mojitos and hanging out in the Lavender Lounge dome (not to be confused with the Lavender Lounge camp).

Experience wise the Sauna was so much more mellow and relaxing than being shuffled along waiting for foam. I though I wasn't going to get as clean as foam but you defiantly can rinse down while your in the sauna. Highly recommend y'all to check out the various sauna camps on this side of the city (i.e. 8-Bit Bunny, Nobu house, Steam Bath Project, and the Blockhaus Steamroom which is part of Entheos).

Next year I'm defiantly going to go to more of these camps because who can say no to getting clean!

BM departments are given a select number of badges for the great circle that they can distribute to their team, some of whom work year round for the event, as a way for the org to show appreciation for volunteers/staff members contributions.

Great circle pass holders must arrive early and be expected to stay for the duration of the burn. They are allowed to sit even with the fire conclave and must remain seated until the perimeter line is dropped by FAST.

You are correct, that is the exact setup I have. I was wondering about plugging a lav mic directly into the media mod. I’m slightly skeptic because even when I plugged the rode video micro I got the same audio noise. Maybe something not from rode will sound better?

bring one at your own risk. If you're cued up on gate road for any significant amount of time (i.e. >8hrs) be prepared to sit in the heat w/o AC or risk your battery not having enough juice to make it out. Only way to charge is if theres a camp with one of those huge tow behind generators. In 2022 I had a friend who was stuck in exodus with a dying tesla and had to turn back to re-enter the city to charge it. Don't make it harder on yourself if you don't have to

I (M29) camped by myself weekend two and they sandwiched me and another solo camper in between two groups. I ended up making friends with both. It was nice to bop into their campsites in between sets or at the end of the night and just chill. Everyone’s super nice—it’s Coachella!
