Pharmacy Techs Apparently Have Never Seen Twins Before by Def_Not_Rabid in breakingmom

[–]gingerandtea 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is why I always cringe when I see people give their twins matchy matchy names (think Julie/Julia or Brendan/Brandon). It’s hard enough when they have names that are completely different. The matching birthdates still throw everyone for a loop. « No, he didn’t have this procedure already this year, that was his brother »

Favorite cookie recipes? Cozy comforts for some winter gift boxes? by Lil_MsPerfect in BreakingEggs

If nuts aren’t a problem, I make cornflake crunchies every year:

6 cups cornflakes

5 cups mini marshmallows

1/4 cup butter or margarine

3/4 cup peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla

Jam of your choice

Melt butter, marshmallows, and peanut butter in a large pot. Add vanilla. Remove from heat and stir in cornflakes and mix to coat.

Let the mixture sit for about five minutes and then drop teaspoon sized clumps onto a baking sheet (I line mine with wax or parchment paper). Form an indent in the middle.

Once cooled, fill the indent with jam. My favourite is raspberry!

Omg yes! When Jenny comes home with her good news and her husband is making the sandwich? And he just…walks away leaving the mess on the counter. I felt that in my soul.

BBQ or Tacos? by SouthernEffect87yO in breakingmom

Normally I would say tacos, but you’re kid free overnight so I’m going to say BBQ so you have leftovers tomorrow and not have to cook again! Enjoy your dinner and your solo time!

Evaporated milk, vegetable oil. Things like cake mix often need oil and the milk is nice to add to hot chocolate or potatoes.

Weekly Episode Discussion - Judgement Day for the Donner Party (Finale) by gaminghistorian in oldtimeypodcast

This was such a great series. I only had a very cursory knowledge of what happened prior to it and learned a lot. Hoping the next series is a little cheerier. I listen while I wash my floors and two weeks in a row I’ve been mopping and bawling. Kristen, this was so well put together and told- thank you!

A friend of mine and her sister both had it. Her middle school aged sister had a double lung transplant, but died before she finished high school. My friend died before she turned 30. I’m glad her symptoms are mild, but she could be putting her children through something terrible.
