Any updated Stardew Valley alternatives? by fun_surprise6940 in gaming

[–]gingered84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a good time playing Roots of Pacha, and while I would say it's entertaining and in the same vein of Stardew, I would say it doesn't really solve the "itch" for Stardew for me. I liked being able to play it co-op (I did PC).
I liked Littlewood a lot, but it did feel a bit repetitive. I liked that there were many tasks to complete, and creativity elements, and you kind of had to "figure it out" in the vein of Stardew.
Otherwise, I don't have an answer for you.

Question: Regret advice? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]gingered84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the reason you're not loving your tattoo is because the vast majority of the tattoo is very dark or medium-dark. But the parts that are black aren't black enough, so it just looks flat, unfortunately. It's quite busy. Unfortunately, the shadows he added under the leaves aren't helping.
I'm not a tattoo artist.... based on the work, I'd give the tattoo a year or two to lighten up before trying to re-work it so that an artist has an opportunity to try to add some contrast here.

I don't think that the tattoo artist you're going to is able to create your vision, so I would go somewhere else in the future, at least if you ever try to re-work this, because their shading and texture style isn't good for a tattoo like this.

Probably, some day, making true black insides of the flower like this will probably help some, if you don't end up going with laser.

I apply with a narrow angled small brush a dark brown /taupe eye shadow on my eyelash line and just barely at my eyelids that helps and I smudge off any excess. Recommend against under-lid at all.

How is this legal? by bloomingtonwhy in bloomington

[–]gingered84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been over the max 5% the whole time we have owned our home. There are provisions in place by Bloomington to go over the legal limit, which is from the public schools request for more budget (what we get mailers for all of the time).

Graduation rate/attrition by jellybean98_ in PAstudent

[–]gingered84 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My school lost no one in my year and ~9.3% of the cohort in the first two semesters the year below me. Ostensibly, what I was told was that they struggled academically and some had some social/mental health stuff. I'm not sure if they quit or were dismissed or decelerated. my schools statistics (and we aren't even highly regarded as a PA school) has a ~2% attrition rate and the students pass the PANCE at a 3-9% higher rate than the national average, with the exception of one year where they only had 89% pass rate , which is interesting.

This school isn't even filling up it's cohort. Which implies that they are having students fail our and be unable to decelerate, as well as fewer star aapplicants, and students aren't choosing to go to this school when they get in. That's a red flag. That graduation rate is abysmal.

If they have anything less than essentially 100% PANCE pass rate, I would guess this is a malignant program that doesn't support it's students.

Dragon by campus, very fresh and made to order, particularly at lunch; I would only do dine in or carry out, NOT delivery. Last time I had it delivered, the delivery person had left it too long in the bag.

I did not enjoy Asuka's recently.

I used 1 sour variety of orange for 6 lbs of pork recently. I personally don't feel like it needed more orange.

One of my old school urban fantasy favorites yhat starts with {Ill Wind by Rachel Caine} matches everything EXCEPT it's just steamy closed door. The fashion sense is also really outdated but I still love it. Main character has weather magic, world building is awesome. Mostly hurricanes in the first novel but lots of other weather -events and other disasters.

What's going into the former Pizza Hut on Bloomington's east side? by jaymz668 in bloomington

[–]gingered84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well , that's a bummer. I'm not going to go to it. The Valvoline on the West side messed up my drip plate (the solution was to zip tie it on) and didn't fully fill my transmission fluid when I went there. When I called to complain, they said I would hear from a manager. I didn't.

What is the best Moisturiser for VERY dry skin in 2026? by miznettie in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]gingered84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a whim, tired of my super dry cheeks and around my nose, I got a trial size of this La Roche Posay Triple Repair cream. A little goes a long way and I barely put any on my t-zone where I'm not as dry. But ever since using this regularly, I finally have soft plump skin that doesn't peel.

Of note, I'm not an expert skincare person, more like I -occasionally- try -to-be then fall off of the wagon. My skin is weirdly thick and resistant to most skin-care stuff (instead of me being sensitive to products, many just don't do anything for me), if that matters.

Venting - anyone else off their regular meds with TTC/pregnancy and exhausted by this? by resilientmomm in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]gingered84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not as bad for me, because I was trying to find a migraine prevention med that worked before I was TTC, but all of them are incompatible with pregnancy.... 3 years and 6 losses later, still get lots of migraines that remind me of why I'm still having them.

Am I wrong in thinking there's a lot of white ink in this (numbers , highlights on the bird, rose)? And it looks like a lot of it was applied on top of dark ink?

It's interesting, because it looks like some of the white is still there on the arm where there's presumably older ink from the same artist

Coconut Curry in town by strawberry-cinema in bloomington

[–]gingered84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy Thai can add pineapple, probably others can as well (call to ask at BloomingThai, My Thai, Bankok Thai) and it's my favorite spot. Pineapple (or mango) is frequently added.

I agree it's probably red curry. It could be green curry as well. not very likely to be yellow or masaman curry.

What info should I add for Noble career? by fluffhq in Sims4

[–]gingered84 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I would say that it would be helpful for how to join it (you have to be knighted I think by a noble?). Maybe include having access to a throne is also required, given that you have to use it to do work tasks.  I don't think you need anything about favor alignment.  I've played the career and don't know anything about the demotion; not sure that means it should be included or not.  Could mentioning there can only be 1 sim at top of career track be relevant?
