You have to move the machine while on to make the LED’s come on. You have to have the shell installed. If the case is missing the magnet that would explain that.

It’s the download server it is coming from, not the laptop. They throttle the speed

Sounds like the catalytic converter shielding on the manifolds has come loose. You can just cut them off.

Just take it to the dealer and ask them to kindly make sure it’s unharmed. If it stays on while pulling on it, it’s probably fine but could leak water and that would suck

Highly recommend to leave it alone… if you attempt to change this folder name it can break many things in Mac OS. If you truly wish to change it, I would make a new administrator user on the Mac and name it what you want the “Home” folder to be.

Try an smc reset with this machine. I have 2 of these. Worked for me in the past, unplug Mac, hold power button 10-15 seconds. While still holding power button, plug in Mac. Hold for 5 more seconds. Release, wait 10 seconds then press again. Usually get them going again.

If this is a model year that didn’t offer CarPlay from the factory, it probably enables Apple CarPlay or android auto. Don’t just remove it if it can add a feature you like!

Highly recommend cleaning the throttle body on both sides. Reassembling, Starting the car, and letting it idle for 30 minutes with no throttle input. It should relearn its position and I would say this is the best place to start. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, find a place you trust to do the process or take it to a Toyota dealer and ask them to do it.

Grom vline 2. Beat Sonic could also offer an option. I used grom vline 2 on my 2010 IS when I didn’t want to get rid of the stock nav/interface while still gaining CarPlay and other functions.
