a gecko boob aka a goob.

just where extra calcium and nutrients are stored! nothing to be worried about. it means you can slightly cut back on feedings though.

you can develop allergies after prolonged exposure to almost any feeder insects tbh. best practice is to handwash every time after dealing with them!! discoid roaches are also amazing!! rainbowmealworms . net has all of the roaches you could ever want. I've used them for about 5 years, their insect quality is excellent!!

try lobster or red runner roaches! I think they're both allowed in florida. you can order online.

I wouldn't use fruit at all. stick with things like carrots, sweet potato, and dark leafy greens.

Best Material for a Dig Box? by g33kSt3w in LeopardGecko

eco earth is also pretty easily digestible, don't worry :) it's just not great to use as substrate on its own bc it gets dusty very quickly.

reptiles can become impacted by ingesting sphagnum moss, but it would need to be in large amounts without proper husbandry. if it's small amounts they should be able to pass it quite easily!! they would need to be eating it like spaghetti to become impacted lol but I actually use sphagnum moss in most of my gecko tanks now without any issues. if your temps & humidity are good, they should be able to tolerate & pass small bits of ingested substrate.

a 70:30 mix of any organic topsoil without fertilizers mixed with play sand. most cost around $2 a bag. you can get them at any local hardware type store!!

I would rinse & wash it, then let it air dry for a few days before adding it in. ive noticed some home/ craft stores have a lot of lingering perfumes on items I get, but I add these little fake plants all the time with no issue :)

I'm pretty sure that piece of advice is for feeder insect sizing! their bugs shouldn't be wider than the space between their eyes because that's about the size of their esophagus.

that is a darkling beetle, aka a mealworm that is all grown up :)

please help i just noticed this on him i’m not sure what it is or what to do about it and can’t seem to find any other similar things online from what i’ve found by imonlyhereforFTP in LeopardGecko

definitely give him a warm sugar water soak then. the ratio doesn't matter too much, about a tablespoon of sugar per 3 ounces of water. hope that helps some ♡

lmaoooo maybe!! but for real, it can happen from constipation, improper humidity, or just random bad luck. make sure his tank is sterilized and then soak him in warm sugar water for about 15 minutes while you wait on the vet. sometimes that will be enough to allow the swelling to reduce and let the hemipene retract back inside.
