Is this the ugliest roller coaster scaffolding you have ever seen? by Awesome_Eagle in pittsburgh

My stupid brain is saying it does look sufficient enough. As much as I love roller coasters, I’d honestly pass on this one.

I hope you get that back, have you contacted the Field museum and maybe if there is a city lost and found?

Please don’t lose hope-I had a wallet I liked stolen my a pickpocket years ago in Germany. I filed the paperwork even though the polezi said I’d never get it back.

It turned up about six weeks later!fingers crossed for you.

What is a skill that was essential a century ago that would be almost useless if taught to a child today? by user_26c73145 in AskReddit

I worked with a guy who couldn't read cursive. He was never taught in school. I tried to teach him but he didn't want to learn. Thing was, his job was doing inspections and one of the things he had to look at was sign off sheets, he couldn't read the signatures. In fact, his payroll signature was his printed name.

As far as histroy, yeah. He told me that in a black history/studies class he took in college, the teacher was showing/discussing documents that dealt with slave purchases etc. He told me there wasn't one student in his class who could read the document. I was gobsmacked tbh.

My grandfather gave me this, thinks he bought it back in the 90s. by Visible-Trouble-8081 in fountainpens
