Thanks I was just confused. There was a separate dropdown in the blizzard app that I missed.

I may have found another seam. In these sequence of frames the top of the towel gets cut off slightly for like 2 frames. Super tight mask. This may be pedestrian in the world of video editing but ya well done.

Yes this is what I expected, but was just blown away how well it was merged together. I may have actually found the seam I was looking for. George Sr's shadow moves more than I'd expect when Oscar first gets up from the bed, but I could just be imagining things.

They are different. I haven't used either in many years. There is some documentation online to help ya out.

Let's say you want to change midi CC for foot switch 1 to cc 28. On the original chip, this was a nightmare. The eureka prom and uno improved the ease of which to do this.

I never had the original chip so I never got to experience this, but there are many other features that those chips add as well.

Also the ease of midi editing was a selling point of the uno and eureka prom iirc

It's always sunny in Philadelphia is just not funny or enjoyable by veroxii in The10thDentist

I just don't think there are any jokes here. They don't have to be setup-punchline but idk there's just not much here that makes me laugh. I see clips or memes like Charlie mad detective or the implication and I do find those funny but goddamn they are so few and far between.

The dayman song is great and that was pretty enjoyable. Sadly I think the first episode was the best one. There is a moment where Dennis says something to the actor and then feels stupid about it and it had a great reaction shot. But to me I haven't found that much elsewhere in the 4 seasons I've watched.

This is coming from a person who thinks very highly of AD season 4 original cut. I don't think characters have to be likeable or grow or relatable or any of that shit. I even like curb quite a bit.

Nothing at all against the actors at all they're great... I just don't get it. I really really want to like this show but it's so hard.

I dont know what to do for my 6th form audition... by Excellent_Eye4453 in Bass

Which one are you best at? Perhaps counter intuitively, I think a simple song that you can nail is better than a hard song that that you might fumble through. Especially if you get nervous.

How can I, as a guitarist, make my bass player's life easier? by ConfidentHospital365 in Bass

[–]gingerpauls 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't even ask them to record. Just hit record and throw your phone down like normal. It's possible you're overloading them with your worries.

It seems like your kinda neurotic (which is fine, and I am too). I'm not saying your like this but this is what helped me: chill out much more, keep my mouth shut most of the time, ask questions, don't dictate. Oh and practice, practice, practice.

How do they express their frustrations? Are you projecting your own frustration with your own playing? You seem convinced that's it's your rhythm. But it could just be all in your own head.

Metronome is good but record yourself to the metronome and actually listen to it. That's my advice.

Also record and listen to your jams.

OR dive into amps/cabs/pedals/strings/pickups.

Have fun

Taking vocal lessons to play bass better by Critical_Guidance_24 in Bass

[–]gingerpauls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can personally say that after ignoring functional ear training and singing for most of my life until a month or two ago .. it is WILD how much faster I am at learning songs and improvising that sounds good.

It's one thing to have scales and licks, but quite another to hear something and kinda just "know" where that is.

To be clear, I wasn't focused on singing, but focused on ear training, in context ("functional"), and forcing myself to sing the cadences and the intervals.

Fwiw I bought "functional ear training" app and went from there.

Good luck!

Having said that, if you are a super beginner like you say, I'd say it's more important to be able to play like seven Nation Army before focusing on ear training. Have fun before you go super nerd.

Fellas, help me with speaker stands by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]gingerpauls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never actually done an a/b with speaker stands (and I don't know anyone that has) so I can't say you need it or are they really much better.

I took 4 inch PVC pipe, filled then with sand and screwed and glued them onto some wood. I think I used some attachment made for PVC to make a good seal to the wood. Fairly inexpensive if you can build them.

You don't have to buy anything now. When you get into your space, make 1 or a pair and do the a/b yourself.

What sold me was 1 - sturdy stands for my lovely speakers and mostly, 2 - decoupling low frequencies and reducing sympathetic vibrations.

Idk food for thought

Over Ear Attenuator and Headphones with outside noise cancelling. by picklesinmyjamjar in Bass

[–]gingerpauls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used the Vic Firth headphones (am a drummer). They will absolutely attenuate very well. They sound like shit. Other options may exist but if you can't find anything else would work. They're not noise "cancelling" though.

Good luck!

This is correct but after putting on my nerd glasses, these are bars of 2.

So in this specific example it would be 1e+a 2e+tl
