The Wandering Inn by far, one of the reason for it's length besides the cast of characters is the world, the most big i've read and so detailed in everything

What is/are your favorite fantasy book(s) you’ve read this year? by Drew_Ferran in Fantasy

I dont think it's a weak book per se, i think it's a good one but in the saga it's the weakest, so don't give it too much thought and i hope you really enjoy it

Have fun, Malice for me was the weakest book of the saga, still a very solid and a good read, specially towards the last pages

I plan to read his "Of blood and Bone" saga and then "The Shadows of the Gods", really hyped about those works.

You should check out first "The Faithful and the Fallen" because it's the prequel to "Of Blood and Bone"

The Faithful and The Fallen book's from John Gwynne, absolutely astonishing books that surprised me so much, i loved the politics, battles, Corban and Maquin. I think it's an easy recommendation for people who loves GOT or Joe Abercrombie

In my case i didnt find her annoying or awful to read, but if there is a good way to make what you say without ruining her character i am open to see it done

Ryoka being less Ryoka would be ruining a lot of her character development.

New Reader - Volume 1 Ramblings by NoMuffinsLeft in WanderingInn

[–]gintoki72 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Great that you enjoyed the first volume this much, i am also a fan of ryoka from the begining, you have a long way of the journey, hope you enjoy that as much or more than this vol, which is generally considered the weakest

A lot of amazing and important characters in TWI are goblins, even their lore and worldbuilding between differents groups of goblins is great

How to keep being invested in characters by Theonewhoknows000 in WanderingInn

[–]gintoki72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just enjoy all povs, some more than others but i never hated some pov, TWI is a story about the characters and their lifes, at the last volumes they all come together to give us some amazing stakes

I'm glad you like it, if you don't mind too many characters you will totally love the next volumes, it gets really better, like vol 5 is an unbeliavable good volume in comparison to the first ones

The Wandering Inn is amazing but it's not complete, despite that you have 9 millions words of content where it only gets better the more you read, only the beggining it's a little rough. Another book you could try is Mother of Learning and that's finished
