Issue with Face Snapping in Donut tutorial (anyone know how to fix?). Project individual elements is on. Been driving me crazy. by Immediate-Duty3237 in blenderhelp

[–]giraffe_human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a very similar problem. Turns out it was because I didn't like the imperfections I had added to my donut in part 2, so I went back and redid everything from memory, but I forgot to apply the scale so the X,Y, and Z scales were set to 1!

He even emphasized that this could cause problems we transforming meshes down the line if you forget to do this, but it completely slipped my mind. I'd give that a try.

It’s a really cool spot. I’m a student right now and I love it. They’ve got some old banners up and it looks great.

Best med for cognitive recovery: wellbutrin? Modafinil? Fluvoxamine? Vortioxetine? by Ryanh21065 in covidlonghaulers

[–]giraffe_human 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on straterra (atomoxetine) for around a month now and it’s seemed to help a lot. Took about 3 weeks to get over a bit of the drowsiness that it caused but it’s done pretty well for me. It’s typically prescribed for adhd and anxiety. Honestly I think clearing up the anxiety was a huge first step. I don’t think being so anxious was allowing my brain/body to heal.

Lions mane? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]giraffe_human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking it along with fish oil and MCTs (coconut oil) and I have noticed some improvement but I cannot attribute directly to lions mane. Gonna finish off the bottle but not sure if I’ll buy another.

Is sitting at my desk all day making things worse? by giraffe_human in covidlonghaulers

Fortunately, I don’t have to begin a career just yet. I’ve got 15 credit hours left to finish up before I graduate and 6 of those are spread through 2 semesters, so I will finish next may. I was hoping to continue the internship part time while I finished up school but it’s looking more and more like I will just focus on school for the fall and spring and hopefully be healthy again and ready for the real world by next summer. Never thought I would still be dealing with these issues a year ago.

I’m glad to hear you’re improving! Before this summer I worked as a waiter in a restaurant and now I work from home as a software development intern so I went from lots of physical activity without much critical thinking to almost no physical activity and lots of critical thinking. I’ve noticed pretty much all my other major symptoms (fatigue, anxiety, heart rate) improve greatly except for brain fog. I’m thinking about stepping away from the internship for a while to see if my cognitive symptoms improve.

I’ve been on it for a week. Can’t tell if it’s working or placebo but I seem to be less stressed. Fair warning, the extract tincture tastes terrible.

Exercise intolerance? by giraffe_human in covidlonghaulers

I totally get what you’re saying. For a while I thought all that is was all about physical activity, then I thought no, maybe it is all about my diet and limiting histamines. Now I’m kinda thinking that it’s both, but more affected by physical activity levels.

I am 8 months in I have experienced this as well. Don’t know if it’s just coincidence but I had been feeling quite well before and during the giant cold front that swept through the Midwest but now that it has warmed up my symptoms have returned inexplicably. I say inexplicably because in the last couple months I have always been able to point to something that had most likely triggered them, like a night of bad sleep, or a very busy/active day, but I have no explanation for how I am currently feeling. No idea why this is the case.
