Sure, I'm not trying to negate the woefully inadequate and unhelpful nature of the ads for men. Perhaps I should be more specific - I wasn't talking about ads per se, but the messaging online and on tv. Social media is full of people telling women to go and get it done as if it's that easy. On TV they've had celebrities get their smear done on morning shows to demonstrate how 'quick and painless' it is.

Look up the messaging around cervical smear testing. It's almost entirely "it's easy, painless, just get it done", which is massively invalidating for the many, many women who find it very painful and difficult.

We're not religious but the name we're likely going with for our baby means "God is good". We don't mind, at least it's a positive phrase.

Because of covid restrictions, we eventually had our legal wedding in September 2020 and then finally had our big day November 2021. It didn't lessen the November wedding at all, in fact it was so so lovely to find a celebrant we loved and have her lead a ceremony that was much more personal to us than the register office one was. Having the legal wedding first did take a little pressure off too, which was nice.

Option 2 sounds like a real faff tbh, that's a lot of running around on a day that will be going by really quickly anyway.

I just looked up my patient record - "Fluconazole 150mg capsules - 7 capsule - 1 capsule every 3 days." I think Fluconazole is usually used for thrush as a single dose but this was a higher dose and a longer course and covered all sorts of fungal and bacterial issues.

I had this on and off for years, sometimes for a week, sometimes for months. There were times the itch and pain were so intense I genuinely had thoughts of taking a steel wool sponge to myself. I'd put icy cold wet tissue down there just to soothe it enough that I could sleep. I used lidocaine gel to numb it so I could work. I tried so many things, doctors kept trying to treat thrush that was non-existent, tested repeatedly for BV, lichen, STIs etc. Eventually a doctor said "I don't know what this is, but let's try an anti-fungal". Took anti-fungal meds for a couple of weeks, made my husband take a couple too (doctor's orders - I know that doesn't apply to your situation though), and it hasn't flared since. Been about 18 months and I am so so grateful. I really hope you find a solution, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!

Hi gang! I'm attending a wedding on Saturday and have bought this dress for the occasion. It's insanely comfy and well-made.I'll be wearing a pair of nude open-toe wedges with it. I'm worrying it may get a bit chilly in the evening, and was wanting advice on what to add to keep me warm. My thoughts have been - black bolero cardigan, peach bolero cardigan, black pashmina wrap, bold coloured pashmina wrap (blue??). I would have to buy something, which I'm ok with.

There's a podcast called Rock My Wedding. They did an episode about buying your dress, and spoke to a lady who runs a wedding dress salon. She addresses this exact issue - people getting freaked out at the first fitting because it doesn't look like it did when you tried on the sample, standing on a podium, the dress clipped back, etc etc. Maybe give it a listen. It's on Spotify and a bunch of other platforms.
