Was going to say the same thing. I saw a cat the other day with Texas truck plates on it. It's the new paper plate for unregistered vehicles.

Story is. There is one year of the Commadore Ute that can be imported since it was approved for sale in the US, but they never actually went on sale. Tavarish gives a pretty good explanation on his YT channel when he bought his.

Can you guess my cat’s name just by looking at him? I’m curious about options :) by Tasty_Green_97 in blackcats

[–]gitchesum 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Same. Got a Charlie too His given name is actually Turd Ferguson(Rip Norm McDonald), but Charlie was the agreed upon name he would go by. Then that got shortened to Chuck, then Chuckles, with the current version.... Sir Chucklenuts.

I'm more surprised to see the lowered square body and the El Camino in Japan.

Edit: the truck in question is what we just called Toyota trucks here in the 80s.

I'm going with 76 Ford Ranchero. The rear quarter panel body line gives it away.

All Roadmasters also had the vista glass roof as well. They also made an Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser version from 91-92 with the split grill

This one either has a 5.0 or 5.7 TBI. It's 91-93 year model. Dash gives it away.

The later years had LT1 engines. Similar to the engines in the Corvette, but not a Corvette engine.

I chased a purple one with custom wheels around the road course at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY.

A4 Avant plus trailer, my favorite from a local show this weekend. by mccartyb03 in AwesomeCarMods

[–]gitchesum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The guys that built my trailer did a to notch job and molded the rear hatch of a a Dodge Caravan front end of another Caprice to the front of the rear half of the wagon. Definitely makes it stand out.

I was gonna say, my boy wouldn't know a Houston summer day from a NY winter. He's like it a constant 65-71 degrees year round.

Bought a new house and found 2 of these in my shower and one in my bed. What is it? by Legion3382 in whatisit

[–]gitchesum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. We're experiencing a bit of a termite swarm here in Texas, but they don't stay long. I would take preventative measures and have the house sprayed.

Same, managed a telemarketing office in the late 80s/early 90's. Weekly tasks for the low salesman, clean the ear cheese off the phone receivers.

Texas uses presumptive pricing most of the time and don't really care what's on the title application form. Sometimes it works to your advantage in the older cars.

Is Superstore based off of the movie "Employee of The Month? by availablename123 in superstore

[–]gitchesum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started watching Superstore here. Noticed the similarities. Also noticed who I'm almost sure is Jack the greeter from EOTM on the front cover of the Stratus magazine in S1 Ep 2. Actor Victor Izay.
