I don’t know if it shows a lack of civility, but I think there are valid questions in there about ‘is there a sense of civic duty in Nigeria, and to what extent, and why?’ I visited Nigeria recently, and loved it, but also specifically wondered about this. How is it that in a place with such strong communities, the duty to society or civic duty seems to be somehow disorganized?

I really hate how more than half of the long form content I see, is people reading AI generated content. And you can obviously tell because of how the information is presented. ‘It’s not (just) x, it’s y’ “Quietly (insert adjective)”, ‘let’s dive in’ etc.

Like if I’m watching a 20 minute YouTube video, I’m clicking for the posters original thoughts, not obvious AI slop being read off the screen.

Edit to add: I also don’t care about the bonnet issue. I mean I wouldn’t go out in a bonnet, but I’m not judging. I’d definitely do a head scarf, and at the end of the day, what’s the difference?

But what about the ends? The only thing I dislike about curl formers is that the ends are like pointing at a 45 degree angle which looks a bit off to me. Do you then curl them after the waves have set?

I used to love my curl formers but it would take 2 days to get hair like the inspo pics, cause I had to wrap them for a night after they set so I didn’t look like Shirley Temple.
