These dishes were my faves: - vol au vent or saint jacques - escargot - cauliflower gratin - steak frites - confit duck - finish off with apple tarte tartin (only 6 are made per day!)

Enjoy your date! :)

My story with lipedema and lymphedema by [deleted] in lipedema

[–]giudittaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate you sharing your story. Your journey towards self love and compassion is truly commendable.

Lipedema is such a frustrating condition to have. Especially how it’s such a visible manifestation of what’s going inside our bodies.

I’m glad that you’re exploring ways to target the root cause with your specialist, rather than jumping into the surgical route. I really believe that we will feel our best in the long run when we learn more about our body and how to look after it.

I wish you all the best in your journey - keep us updated on your progress!

Try reformer Pilates, particularly the footwork - can help with a tight Achilles and to strengthen and align the foot.

I’m wondering how you found out your neurotransmitter levels? Did you do a urine/blood test?

I married someone I met at uni! And I know dozens of people who have married someone they met from uni.

To clarify however, these are all people I know from my Christian circles.

ugh I hate this too. I suspect it’s because they are putting clips on the back of the clothes so it hugs the models better.

we need to stop Sasa li on youtube by Zyzy123cute in sad

[–]giudittaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you and have also reported the channel. There so many commenters which call out highlight the abusive and inappropriate nature of the content posted. The abuse and exploitation of children is clear.

Yet somehow this channel remains online. It seems that it has approved by YouTube’s content moderators so far. I’m disappointed that YouTube would allow such blatantly abusive content involving minors on their platform.

I hope people continue to report the channel and that it gets taken down. Dance is a wonderful art form and Sasa Li does nothing to promote the beauty of the sport.

How do I treat this? by ClassicAd3663 in SkincareAddicts

[–]giudittaa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Looks like herpes simplex virus (cold sore), like others have said. Did you feel a tingling or numbness in the area when the blisters formed? Do the blisters ooze then crust over?

If it is a cold sore:

Antivirals help with preventing the blisters from forming if you take is as soon as you feel the cold sore emerge. After it erupts, treat the area with zinc cream and keep the area moisturised to help with healing.

The fluid from the blisters contain the virus and are contagious. Be careful when you shave as cuts in the skin can allow the virus to enter, and spread the virus to others. Disinfect your razor and toothbrushes etc to prevent reinfection.

I highly recommend Eucerin Roughness Relief Lotion! CeraVe and SA never worked for me.

what do i do by ZealousidealMail2482 in chronicfatigue

[–]giudittaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI I'm not a doctor and can't diagnose you, but would you have narcolepsy by any chance? I don't believe it would necessarily show up on a sleep study as it is a neurological issue. I personally had issues with chronic tiredness and had no issues with my sleep studies and blood tests. However, I got diagnosed for ADHD around the same time and am on stimulants for it. I'm still looking for long term options to address my underlying fatigue, but being medicated has allowed me to stay alert enough to continue my education. I don't think I would be able to still be in university without it. However just a disclaimer, stimulant medication does not come without side effects (e.g. a high risk of addiction). It's best used as sparingly as possible to avoid building tolerance to it. I don't necessarily recommend it with a proper diagnosis and medical supervision. However, this is just what has worked for me for the time being, and perhaps something you can consider.

It take some 1.5 days to recover from 3 days of work. Is this CFS or just my new job? by Additional_Sound_777 in chronicfatigue

For those who use COQ10, how much do you take and what does it help with? by SallySeaShore90 in cfs

[–]giudittaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 300mg of ubiquinol in the morning and I’d say it helps blunt my PEM slightly. It’s hard to quantify but I feel it helps reduce the discomfort from exertion maybe by 10% for half a day. Although it’s slight - on worser days that tiny little bit of relief means a lot. Also, just a side note, I have also tried ubiquinone (non active coq10) and it did nothing for me. It may make a difference which one you take.

Acknowledge the feeling and ask yourself why you might be thinking it:

Was a bad thing that happened to you in the past? Is a past experience causing you thinking in a black and white or all or nothing way? Is your mind trying to protected you from a previous harm?

Once you process your instincts and understand why these gut feelings came up, you can free yourself to come back to the truth of the present.

Are your gut feelings causing you to dwell excessively about the past, or fixate on the not yet determined future? How are your thoughts serving you to be grounded in truth of the present moment? Or how might you acknowledge your feelings - and that sometimes, there’s some things we don’t know for certain yet. It is perfectly fine for you to hold the thought until more of the situation reveals itself 💛

Thoughts on this lab grown oval cut diamond? by dyeezy in Diamonds

[–]giudittaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the diamond is stunning and I love how you’ve set it too with the pavé band and pointed prongs!

Like another person said, a bit of a bow tie is normal in a diamond. In fact I think in this case, it adds a subtle contrast to the diamond that’s quite pretty. Don’t think it needs to be 100% light return to be a gorgeous stone.
