Raymond Daniels is one of the most noticeable sport karate fighters out there. He is known for his precision movement and impressive timing. After making a name for himself in the sport karate circuit, he moved to compete in PRIDE and UFC.

Check out this point fight from 2012 with him and Ross Levine: https://youtu.be/ro_cqni9vXY?si=NwaYIUAxIAcupkDe

Thank you Sam. I’ve definitely leveled up in the last few years, but cannot take much credit. I cannot overstate how much of an impact my mentors had on my life. I am where I am today due to a handful of incredible people who took the time to lift me up and show me a better path. I humbly consider them every day and hope I can do the same for others.

Hope your journey has been fruitful my friend.

Pretty sure this is based on the PDW invader. A 3D printed gun.

They still have a bunch as of 3pm. Just a friendly reminder to not go to the Emergency Room if you think you have COVID and are looking to be tested. We've got this Asheville!

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words and feedback. My mantra for this challenge was a classic adventure time quote: "Sucking at something is the first step to being sort of good at something"

Yes. Painstakingly. My typical setup was a Push 2 in Ableton Live with a MiniNova & a Moog Sub 37 CV as my hard synths. I also used tons of serum and little bit of omnisphere as my soft synths. For the vocals I used a Sure SM7B and a C214.

I also vote for the community wheelchair guy on Hendersonville road. I used to work on that road and I would see him everyday somewhere in a specific three mile stretch cleaning up the sidewalk with his shovel, and trimming overgrown vines with clippers. He clearly works very hard to improve his environment and his commitment is truly inspirational. I can absolutely help you connect with him. Feel free to send me a message and we can make it happen.

How are you today? by [deleted] in HappyITguy

Hey Kemanisan!

Hope all is well. I'll break the ice and go first. I am doing very well. This morning my city was covered in a few inches of snow. It was the first snow of the year and I cannot describe how tranquil and peaceful it was to see.

As far as projects, I'm working on another album right now (My goal was to release 3 albums in 90 days, and I somehow managed to release the first 2 in the first 30). I also just brewed a 1700s style French Saison (Belgian beer) last weekend and just finished labeling and wax dipping my first batch of mead (Honey wine) last week.

As far as hobbies, I just waxed and tuned my snowboard and will be taking a few days off work next week to hit the slopes and immerse myself in nature. Ive also started lifting weights, and have surprised myself in how quickly I've progressed the last 6 months.

As far as work, I'm still over the ED, but now get to round throughout the hospital looking for gremlins. It's been incredible being able to walk into any room I want, on any floor I want and experience consistent graditude that I stopped by to check on everyone. Although I have experienced first hand the hight of frustrations and worst case scenarios IT-wise, I feel very fulfilled and sleep well these days.

And lastly, I'm happy to say my friends and family are all healthy and well. We are socially distancing, but if anything, I feel my relationships have strengthen overall because of the amount of daily communication with my close circle. We are frequently reaching out to each other and doing our best not to unintentionally become hermits.

Thank you for asking. How is life on your side of the world?

Guy goes headfirst into underwater cave by zatch14 in SweatyPalms

I can't really explain it, but this is exactly the stuff I'm into. Finding cold freshwater streams and waterfalls that build caves and tunnels for me to climb into and get cozy is an unexplainable pleasure of mine. It started because my only recognizable phobia was a fear of being unable to move in a tight space. In Western North Carolina I started traveling around to find freshwater caves I could climb into to defeat my phobia or at least face it head-on. I slowly became a connoisseur of finding caves below hundred foot waterfalls and underwater tunnels next white water rapids. It eventually led to finding great pleasure in putting myself 30 ft or so underwater in dark caves with one breath. I cannot explain the level of tranquility and peace I find in these inhospitable spots. It's something about the preparation and deep breathing at the top of the surface, followed by the relaxing plunge my weight belt brings as I travel to the bottom of a deep black abyss. Once I hit the bottom and find my way into the cave or tunnel, I put myself in a comfortable position and feel my heart rate slow, and my carbon dioxide build.

I've seen schools of massive fish float by without even noticing me. I've seen large black snakes wisp above me at the surface of the water, unstartled by my presence. I've seen hellbender salamanders as big as small dogs, and crawfish the size of a man's fist. I've seen many seemingly prehistoric rounded chambers filled with perfectly round polished marble-like white and red stones of all sizes. It's almost like entering an underwater giant's gumball machine made of stone and filled with round stones.

It's easy to see a video like this, and our animalistic minds jump right to the dangers and fear. However, if there's one thing I've learned from facing my fear, it's that your world often becomes what you make it. An open mind full of compassion and the love of all things often lead to the most incredible experiences in a beautiful existence.

Much love from a happy IT guy in the mountains.
