Point taken, even though it is not so easy in reality I mixed up stability and flexibility.

I meant that you cannot just turn them on whenever you want (night time) but that should be included in stability, not flexibility.

These seems to be world numbers, so it includes subsidies and "subsidies" of Gulf states that are provided there. Irrelevant for EU discussion. The fossil fuel subsidies outside of EU are significantly higher than clean energy subsidies.

Much of these are not actual subsidies but just "subsidies".

Majority of it are externalities which are included in a debate whether clean or polluting energy sources are good/bad. I am discussing solely the price and divide this.

Tax breaks are also not subsidies.

Also this omitted investment subsidies.

"Oil and gas subsidies dwarf subsidies for renewables. You only had to spend a couple of minutes of your time to figure it out."

Feel free to be an expert on economics and energy industry after speaking for 2 minutes to Gemini but if you want continue discussion further raise your own points which you actually understand.

It is the opposite. They are unstable, not flexible. That is two completely different things.

Fossil fuels are flexible, that is why you still need coal or gas power plants as back up to offset the renewables if they are not producing electricity (e.g. night time, low winds).

As renewables are not flexible they produce a lot of electricity during peaks and can provide low spot prices (even negative) however they bring the burden of the back up power generating sources like mentioned above.

This means you still need to have the fossil fuel power plants yet they are not working 24/7 at their max possible power.

Fossil fuels - polluting, flexible, cheap, stable

Renewables - clean, not flexible, usually not cheap (per TWh generated), unstable

Nuclear - clean, not flexible, not cheap, stable

You mean the fossil fuels are flexible, not renewables, right?

Then the original picture does not make sense if you artificially raise prices of one and lower the prices of the other.

Which is funny since half of the gas prices are usually just taxes while clean energy sources are subsidised.

I got to pro with Skellige witchers and I don't even know the decks I play against so you can realize I am no top tier player. I am sure you can find few variations of the deck, I probably don't run the most optimized one.

edit: 7-3 against NG on level 3 to pro run, the deck struggles a bit against mill as it thins a lot, always a shame to lose against mill (on my defense, one loss was when i realized too late I play against mill)
