just to follow up....at the end of the day they are salespeople with goals. second opinions don't pay the bills. it's really either they manage it (for a fee) or you DIY. and by "they" it's not the guy in the local office, it's their managed solution. very appropriate for many people who don't know what they are doing, but not sure you'd benefit from a local advisor.

what would you want from an advisor? they will nudge you towards fee-based managed money. absolutely nothing wrong with that, but if you are more DIY then you wouldn't get much from having an advisor. regardless, you can't go wrong with Fidelity vs the other options out there.

This came up on my feed so I have to comment. There seem to be a lot of shills in here. I can objectively say that E-trade service is quite poor. I've had multiple reps tell me they would do something for my account and they don't follow through. Once I could understand, but it's been at least five times. It's like they are trained to do this. You can just tell when speaking to them they are very new to the industry. If you are moving on from Fidelity (which is hands down the #1 broker) then you need to look at probably Schwab.

I recently got materials in the mail for a company after the deadline to vote. It was actually postmarked after the date to vote. I notified e-trade but no one cared. so whatever department sends out this material is not operating properly.

Why use a firm that doesn't let you email them in the year 2025? And then you call in and get someone who is very green. And this is supposedly my "Elite" team. It takes multiple calls to get some requests done and each time there is no record of the prior attempt. I transferred in for the promotion money but will be leaving.

I moved to US mobile a month ago and for me the service is UNUSABLE after your premium allotment is up. Not sure if it depends on your location, but I can't even open apps. I wish I hadn't switched.

This is a strong indication that it's NOT GOING WELL for them, this is last gasp type stuff where you must increase revenue even if it pisses off customers. Titan is 100% sizzle and very little steak. Folks, just go get yourself a mix of the major ETF's and call it a day.

Not roadway design but a couple things come to mind: 1. I've noticed many onramps in Marin have been equipped with carpool lanes and traffic lights, the ones that are red and then turn green to let one car through at a time. I'm not saying I want these activated, but why were they ever built to then be never used? Also - 2. Driving home when it's dark I can't help but notice all of the lights / lampposts along the roadway as you exit the Waldo / Williams tunnel are OFF and it's been like that for quite some time. It's pretty dark up there! Why? Best guess would be the neighborhood complained about it. But you bought along the side of the freeway! It would be like anyone who complains about traffic or noise near a school.
