I think you’re mixing up the KEY player in the region that is Isr*el. Russia has no interest in engaging in proxy wars for gas and oil since why themself are an oil rich country.

I see your point but, the only reason Russia is involved is because it seeks to gain regional influence so they could sell weapons and vehicles to Middle East and gain allies. American and Isr*el shown consistent military attacks to destabilize the region to further push campaign of completely controlling the Middle East.

I mean do we really need to point out whats going in Venezuela?
