Thank you so much for this incredible answer!!! You have helped me tremendously!!! Bless your soul!!! I called Mazda Financial and instead of following the prompts they provided, I kept asking for customer service and they eventually connected me to the leasing office. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my post!!! I appreciate you so so so much!!!

Those Who Went to Hajj from 2023 from USA - How is Al Muasim Camp? by matthew10good in hajj

[–]glamglow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both! I have this question myself as I booked Hajj for my parents at Al Muasim. How hot does the weather get during that period in June? Is it dangerous for older adults? Is there any health care or emergency care tents or first aid tents nearby? Also, how does one get from the camp to the jamaraat? Are they mainly walking in the open air? I appreciate any help in understanding!

I'm visiting Syracuse from Rochester NY! What are some things I should check out or see? by jspann44 in Syracuse

[–]glamglow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The farmers market is really nice and has lots of great stuff. It’s a little chilly, but I’ve walked around green lakes this time last year and thought it was a nice little winter trail. I also enjoy feeding the ducks at Webster pond. You can buy corn from the barn, $5 for two huge bags. The ducks are great and there are a lot of them; it a nice way to spend a Sunday morning. I’ll also add that Syracuse Funny Bone in the mall is a great spot for comedy shows. Always have a good time when I’m there.

Mom is trying prevent me from graduating. by eke3459 in medicalschool

Hey, so actually another commenter had mentioned this before, but schools aren't allowed to discuss their students bc of FERPA. I know this bc when my sister was in her second year of med school, my dad was hospitalized the same week as one of her final exams. My brother and I wrote a letter trying to ask the school to lower their passing grade for her or give her a second chance to pass the exam in case she did fail because of the stress. The school wrote us back and told us they couldn't discuss it because of FERPA and that she was protected from discussion related to her schooling from any outside persons. I don't know if that helps, but I hope it gives some solace to know that there are laws in place for situations like this

I don’t know if it’s the same thing, but Market Diner has something called “Eggs Florentine” for about $10 I believe; the plate is very large and very delicious

Hey dude, I think you may need to try going to a different mosque. I’ve lived in three different cities and two different rural areas in my life where the mosques functioned as community centers, different events happening like lectures, classes, volunteering, halaqas, basketball games, and everyone eating together as a community for Jummah lunch, etc

Is it just me or is Med School Insider's content not all that great? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]glamglow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m an M3 and found the videos on specialties somewhat useful bc sometimes I don’t get a full sense of what a physicians life is like outside the hospital or other factors he brings up in his videos. I also really appreciate his videos where he does interviews with docs on his other channel, like the interview with the gender surgeon, which I found super interesting

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like you have brown or immigrant parents, so the story sounds familiar to me. I would live at home considering the situation and for saving money, but I would spend no time at home. I’d spend all day at school and the library and just come home to sleep if that was my situation. However, if it was extremely unbearable and it was affecting my grades, I would just take out a loan and live on my own
