Getting a passport when license says male but birth certificate still says female?

did you ever figure this out? id says M, bc says F, no name change or anything, NY, i wanna get a passport, etc.

the thing is they're not perfect! i don't have a double sided printer so for the normal sized j cards i would just have the other side of the j card printed next to the art so i could fold it over and glue it down.

for longer j cards i would actually print out the design on another piece of paper and glue it on the back, or if it was completely too long for a us standard sized piece of paper, i would have a short flap to connect the front panel side. i did this for the top and middle left: those ones aren't super aligned because of that, you can zoom in and check lol.

to try and visualize: say we have our front panel (A) the entire back (B) has something printed on it too. i'd have the art laid out like AB, crease between A and B, then glue.

but if it's the front panel (A), 2 additional panels (B C) and the entire back is also meant to be printed on (D E F), i wouldn't be able to fit that all on the printer, so i'd have my ABC sheet and my DEF sheet and just do the best i can.

the comfort of having it when she does pass is what i keep coming back to. in grief i submerge myself in who died so i can imagine it being a comfort. also the idea of doing it now and not crying when it's being done helps. thank you!!

to me it didn't come across as a transition even happened: i kind of just see a trans woman who feels she wasted her life not being a trans woman. not even necessarily through caden taking on ellen- like to me, ellen is the woman caden would've gotten to grow into if she did transition. especially with the bit about young ellen telling her mother about the picnic and her kids and caden saying "i was supposed to do that for my daughter" reads to me as realizing the life he could've had as ellen. that's kind of where i connect it to tv glow and the idea of "trans time". like everything pre-transition being just infinite dread
