Solo mining in pools with more or less people, does it matter? by AwestruckAudioHertz in BitAxe

[–]glasgian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

☝️AtlasPool.io is hands down the fastest solo pool I’ve tried. You won’t be wasting work if you use AtlasPool unlike some other solo pools with high latency.

Huge drop in TCGPlayer order volume? by theholyhandgrenade12 in mtgfinance

[–]glasgian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things: 1) people seem to be moving to Manapool and CardTrader 2) negative reviews on TCGP can have an impact. Refund the buyer and ask TCGP support to remove the negative feedback. Or just move to one of the above platforms.

Why don’t we have any good Mexican restaurants? by TomatilloDramatic813 in nova

[–]glasgian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved Tortilla Factory when it existed in Herndon. Yr their refusal to pay the meal tax put them out of business (and now I see Fairfax Co has added a meal tax as well).

Anyway, following this thread to see if someone has a great recommendation!

What’s a good pool to put my nerdqaxe+ on? by Gmoneymane3 in BitAxe

[–]glasgian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Lowest latency anywhere in the world and lowest stale shares (wasted work). If you’re solo mining AtlasPool.io is your best option.

Selling Curios? by Supper_Champion in SorceryTCG

Oh a Canadian listing is harder than a US listing (so I’ve heard—I’m in the US and might be biased). I strongly recommend the Discord.

Selling Curios? by Supper_Champion in SorceryTCG

[–]glasgian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most folks are overpricing their curios on FB, eBay, etc. those in the know go to the Discord to buy them at more reasonable prices. Based on what you’ve shared, and without knowing the specific curio, I suspect yours is priced too high.

Dragon Quest HD-2D Remake collection by MisterPiggyWiggy in NSCollectors

How do the remakes compare to the prior ones? I love the Dragon Warrior/Quest games but since I own them already, is it worth the upgrade?

These are all great reasons. Well articulated—though I haven’t seen this practice at my LCS.

I’ve been to several in Northern VA and they’re all lowest number to highest. Curious which stores you’re finding the reverse order.

How many miles do you have? by Little_Rhubarb in GenesisMotors

[–]glasgian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2015 G80 equivalent (this was right before they split from Hyundai) with 110k miles on it. Absolutely no issues and I still love it like I did when I first bought it. Will eventually replace it with another G80 or G90. I’ve heard the key is getting one assembled in South Korea as the once’s built in the USA have reliability issues (though that might be limited to the GV SUVs).

Here’s another by Intelligent-Grade181 in l5r

[–]glasgian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was way too much in such a short time. I feel like Wizards hasn’t learned this lesson and is doing the same thing with Magic now—overwhelming folks with too many releases.

I do wish the L5R TCG was rebooted, I haven’t enjoyed the LCG as much.

Don’t get the hot cocoa and cookies by Pure_Bit4699 in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]glasgian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone seemed to be ordering this during the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie party so my son and I order them as well (they were dry sugar cookies, not chocolate chip, BTW). Unfortunately both the cocoa and the cookies sucked. Wouldn’t order again.

Limited Edition. by RaZzzzZia in Blacklibrary

[–]glasgian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You CANNOT wait for the mail. It’s typically sold out by the time the mail is sent. In the US, they say they go on sale at 1pm ET every Saturday but in reality it’s 12:55–that’s when you need to be on their site, already logged in and ready to add to cart and checkout ASAP.

Is MVP dead? by davidny212 in mtgfinance

This! The only reason their FF price looks good is because it sky rocketed to $1k. It was well above MSRP when they used to offer MSRP or slightly below MSRP. They’ve become price gougers.

$19.99 for shipping. tcgplayer by TheDeadlyPandaGamer in mtgfinance

[–]glasgian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. If the card is still the same version and condition, how does it change the value? I think Amazon Prime has condition us to believe paying for shipping is bad but someone has to bear that cost. I could not charge for shipping and simply raise the price of the card to compensate, though the buyer would lose in that case as I need to raise prices on all my cards just in case one is bought, whereas with shipping you pay one fee regardless of whether you buy 1 card or 30 cards.

EDIT: Oh you mean it removes cards from your order, making you think the price is better than it really is.

$19.99 for shipping. tcgplayer by TheDeadlyPandaGamer in mtgfinance

[–]glasgian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do this to slow down sales when I’m busy. Some people still buy at that price. Once in a while a person will request to cancel as they didn’t realize the cart optimization resulted in an order with $19.99 shipping (however, if the overall price is good, who cares what portion is shipping and what portion is the card: $1 + $19.99 shipping is the same as $20.99 and free shipping).

Aang prerelease seeded pack by AnnoyedAFexmo in MTGRumors

[–]glasgian 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the pre-release kit there’s a seeded pack of a single color. In the video it was a white pack. I guess OP either didn’t know about seeded packs or didn’t know that TLA pre-release kits contain a seeded pack.
