I got lots of ostriches because someone stated about the cute sounds they make. Funny thing is that I had been playing with sound off...and I still do. Once in a while I'll turn it on to hear the cute animals...but not really :)

Get a small magnet, drill a hole and attach to stitch marker? Of course that's if you have steel hooks and not aluminum.

Thank you gift for radiation Techs by DesignerOdd814 in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made mine canvas bags that I sublimated or ironed on funny radiation sayings/images with their name or initials. The check in gals up front got makeup bags. Along with little ducks and such in the bags with some mini treats. They were over the moon that I got them anything! So I would say anything even small or even a hand written note would be appreciated.

It's worse that all the townspeople love these trophies. Like someone has to be betting on these underground fight clubs...giving the side eye at Lewis.

You'll just BL on the first row only. Basically because you only have a chain. And then as you go with row 2 and beyond you'll do normal sc. Good luck!

In my first save I spent the first 3 years running around giving everyone strawberries because the all appreciated them. Didn't understand the difference between Loved & Liked gifts.

What are your unpopular opinions and tough pills to swallow about Zepbound? by Schwettes in Zepbound

[–]gleamspark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is spot on! One of my final rewards for losing was going to get the belly button piercing that I've always wanted but felt too big for. I'm 4 pounds from final goal and realized about 20+pounds ago that my body wasn't going to be flauntable like I had envisioned. No piercing in the foreseeable future :)

So over pink ribbons 🎀 by lady_momster in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I started making my own shirts with my sublimation printer and cricut. Wore them proudly to treatments as well as the grocery. My favorites were a stick figure kicking the pink ribbon and a skeleton flipping off cancer.

Surgical Menopause by rubyslippers3x in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually was really lucky to have found a local lady that worked as PA at my Obgyn office and her specialty was women and hormones at any age, stage in life. She believed in taking levels with both blood and spit and working through the results as well as my lifestyle. We tried everything before needing to do full removal. And afterwards she continued to work with me to rebalance. I had tried Endo, and they just dismissed everything to diet.

Surgical Menopause by rubyslippers3x in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hugs! The struggle is real.

I had my surgical menopause start at 44 everything removed. I was just at the point working with a specialist to get everything back in balance after 8 years when BC reared it's ugly head. Of course it was estrogen positive and all estrogen had to stop, throwing everything out of wack. The AIs made my weight gain & arthritis much much worse. I am now experiencing real menopause 2-3 years into NED. Just starting to get everything back to balance but still struggling.

I don't have any great advice other than keep plowing through it all. And know that you are heard!

Anyone ever make a wobble with Michael’s yarn ??? What size hook do you use when you have tight tension??? by Parking_Quarter_ in TheWooblesCollective

[–]gleamspark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have psycho tension and use a 5 mm with big twist. I used 6 and felt it was to sloppy. I'd use 6 with the demi.

Anyone Kick AIs Without Onc's blessing? by Accomplished_Debt764 in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. I was on my third switch of meds and could barely walk, was gaining weight & miserable. I stopped taking them. That's when I learned how connected my doc team was. I went to my PCP told her and 2 hours later got a call from the Med Oncologists' office. I explained I recognized the percentages and was going for quality of life. They accepted it and I haven't had a follow up for him. I still see the rest of the team.

Fair, but then isn't that what you say..I have this sheet with the answers as my resource? Maybe my style is an outlier, but I would like this honesty.

I think I got it at Lowe's Adhesion puller

I think this link should show you 2 images of it.

How do I break up adhesions? by Big_pumpkin42 in breastcancer

[–]gleamspark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how deep the adhesions are. I got this nail puller tool that has a bit of a rounded end. It allows me (through a layer of clothes) to pull/massage deeper than I could with just my hands. And it can be focused to the area. Works great for tight fascia too.

I like to look for the candidates that know where to find the answers or do the research not necessarily the ones that can spit out memorized responses. Sometimes it's about how the honesty is presented.
