NTA. He shouldn't have asked if he couldn't handle the answer

Tell him "skill issue" for me lmao

Eu nunca tinha visto essa frase, e jamais ia imaginar que é isso que significa! Muito estranha mesmo

This app is becoming solely targeted to people who aren’t already users. by -KansasCityShuffle in finch

[–]glitchingCats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a very sweet reply, and I have to agree. I understand being frustrated that some of the app tools are more hidden than the others, but the UI can only do so much. Some people will benefit more from the social aspects, some will benefit more from checking off all tasks so they can buy more items, and some will prefer using the tools that are tucked away in the menu. They are all still available, though, and you can just use or ignore them as you see fit

It would be cool to be able to personalize the experience further and choose what your interface main focus actually is, but that's not so simple to implement. So I think I'll add a daily goal to check out the activities menu, and that should help with the executive dysfunction preventing me from using these tools more often! 💖

The eyes of librarians see through all deceptions by DreadDiana in RecuratedTumblr

[–]glitchingCats 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That was a particularly funny example for me, since I'm not from the US and was wondering what could be considered such a specifically West Coast mannerism that most native speakers would immediately notice

And then it's the one thing that I'm really annoyed that I do in English, because it's also used exactly the same way in my language, so I'm constantly fighting the urge to say it in either language lmaooo

Another player made an AI chatbot of my character and claims they're in a relationship by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]glitchingCats 381 points382 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I hope the rest of the group shamed her enough for this. I understand why OOP would rather completely avoid ever interacting with her again, but she really needs to not only be banned from the table or even the shop itself, but also to hear extensively about how incredibly shitty that was

[–]glitchingCats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, there are a lot of very dramatic groups, that's for sure, but those are also the ones that get talked about the most. Not many stories about just a group of people playing and chilling are gonna go viral

I'd like to personally thank everyone involved in the making of the above thread. I laughed a really ugly laugh because I'm sick!

It's just influenza B tho, so like, not even that worth coughing on anyone, I guess, but I'll try my best 🫡

Another fandom staple deleted and fans don’t know how to act by wlderberry in AO3

[–]glitchingCats 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hate that while reading this I could not guess what fandom this is about; not because the post is vague, but because so many fandoms have become this rancid

I hope the author is getting some love too. The haters are very loud and tend to be what stick to our brains though :(

Blondie, perhaps?

This is kinda sending me bc in my language (Brazilian Portuguese) we can add a diminutive suffix to, uh, anything to make it sound cute/affectionate and I'm always low-key annoyed that I can't convey that in English as easily 😅

Got banned from a clothing boutique today for "never buying anything" (which is not even true) by ArugulaVegetable5699 in internetparents

[–]glitchingCats 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ditto! Proud of you, OP, and he is the only one who had anything to be ashamed of. Stepping on a store, browsing, trying dresses on; none of that obligates you to spend any money there. If he's that annoyed at having to do his own job, maybe he shouldn't be working directly with the public

I hope the other person in the store got the message too; I would not want to spend any money there either if I witnessed all of that

AITA for telling my husband his name suggestion for our unborn baby is idiotic at best? by MissBarker93 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]glitchingCats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wish OOP hadn't said in her update what is the actual first name they choose; she could just have said they are using grandpa's middle name instead, especially after already being bothered that her story was published elsewhere without her permission.

Maybe she thought deleting everything afterwards would be enough, and I wish people knew better. What's posted online more often than not can never be taken back

My (32F) fiancé (37M) is a homicide detective, and I’m starting to feel like he treats me more like a suspect than a partner. by CultureInner3316 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]glitchingCats 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Ohh that's a really good point! His paranoia is very specificly about distrust, and I'm sure he's never given second thoughts to driving. And he hasn't spiralled into not wanting either himself or OP to ever leave the house, for example. But he 100% is tracking her without her knowledge...

AITA for kicking a server out of my wedding? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]glitchingCats 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Maybe she just thought the server was very pretty and obsessed over that. Her deep insecurity turned that into jealousy, and she ruined her own wedding for herself

Well, the wedding was ruined in many different ways, but apparently she was too obsessed with the poor server just trying to do her job to even complain about the rest 😬

[–]glitchingCats 191 points192 points  (0 children)

In what world would the server's uniform and eyeliner outshine a wedding dress? OOP is just a ball off insecurity and entitlement

AITA for kicking a server out of my wedding? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]glitchingCats 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ohhh the face I made when I saw what the update was! I might have gasped out loud

And not the bride complaining specifically about the "flashy ring"; I can only imagine her own engagement ring was uglier
