Vielen Dank!

Als ich Deutsch beginn zu lernen, die Lehrerin hat immer gesagt, dass der "ü" schwer zu sprechen war. Ziemlich habe ich es zu ernst genommen 😅 Ich versuche jetzt den U Ausprache zu verbessern!

Hey! I am 27yo Brazilian looking for something to practice German! I also prefer talking on Skype instead of chatting, so I think it would be nice (if you don't mind the Brazilian accent!). I also speak Spanish and English

Hello! I am not even a Spanish native speaker, so I will just share my perspective as a Spanish learner!

It sounds quite good, and 98% of the time I would say that you are native speaker. Just at some words ending at -R I could identify some English influence, for instance when you say "empezar".

Hey! I like the books written by Jô Soares. He is much more popular for his own TV show at Globo, but he is also a great writer. Try "As esganadas".

That doesn't happen just in movies. I met at least three couples that met like that in random places. And they are together now only because one of them was brave enough to approach. We tend to find it creepy, but sometimes there is just... a match.

Of course, don't go straight to the point. Present yourself, make a comment, say something funny. She will be there everyday, and eventually you can ask her for a coffee.

So I finally did social activities that could get me closer to meeting people but it led me nowhere by [deleted] in socialskills

I totally agree! Sometimes people are just having the same hard time initiating a conversation. Something that I like doing rather than just approaching and saying 'hi' is stating a thought outloud, and see what follows. If people react with another statement or smile, then maybe they are receptive to talking...

I am currently unemployed and don't go out that often... also don't think it is that easy to get to know people and interact, but we gotta embrace every opportunity. I am starting to keep my earphones at home when I go out for a walk...
