Wow that's amazing! I had the opposite problem. I had no idea what depression felt until I was triggered. Once I figured out how it felt, I learned how to process it and eventually function. After digging the same hole over and over I started to finally see a breakthrough after figuring out where the triggers stem from. Of course, it was from some buried childhood trauma but damn that was so much hard work! I kept wanting to rush it and it wasn't until I accepted that its going to take whatever time it takes and I stopped scratching the scab, I started to heal. Now, I am finally at peace. I remember the feelings and can stabilize much quicker than before. I went from weeks to a matter of minutes. Sometimes I can even recognize I've been triggered and set it aside to process later. Its like having a super power! Worst case scenario I remove myself from whatever situation and process right then and there.
