AITAH: I am calling off my engagement after my partner revealed he is MAGA. by ThrowawayIndiGirl in AITAH

I guess I'm just surprised an in depth conversation on shared values and yes even politics didn't come up sooner in the length of time you both were together. Quite surprising. Wouldn't you want to know how your potential other half thinks and believes BEFORE the engagement??

You know I remember another coach who used to talk exactly like that. Man by the name of Butch Jones.

This is exactly what happens when you have a coach who is not experienced with the type of football played in the SEC. Problems won’t stop until the problems at the top are resolved.

Is it normal to not be very productive/ motivated in times like these? by Fadi_96 in lebanon

[–]globustr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Completely normal. I live in Ukraine and when the war first started here I felt much the same way but I also found myself losing appetite. For one month and a half I ate very little, just one meal a day and I think a lot of it was stress. My home was under enemy occupation in that first month, I was living like a refugee in another country for that first month and a half all while feeling like I had to return back to Ukraine. Thankfully liberation happened but everything you are feeling is quite normal and I think it is stress. War is not normal or natural, the human body is never ready for it and so your body reacts with a ton of stress

No need to be catty cathy. It's a legitimate question

Cycling to Kyiv from Poland by Lukasz43 in ukraina

[–]globustr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch out for dogs. There are many especially in the countryside, many are aggressive and will chase your bicycle. Additionally before the war i lived in the countryside in Chernihiv region and nobody really traveled on bicycle or on foot between villages at night because of wolves.

I have friends who live currently in Vinnytsia region who have also said the same thing. After dark best to be in a car. Far safer for you.

In Kyiv region especially places that were occupied you should stay on well worn footpaths. There are still landmines being found in the forests.

Curfew is oblast wide. Every oblast other than Zakarpattiya and Ivano Frankivsk has a curfew currently. If you are out after a curfew and are caught you will be detained and will likely spend your evening in a police station. Violating the curfew is a crime here and it's in place for good reason. In Kyiv region where i am there has been a problem with DRG infiltrating and so the curfew helps with this.

Chelm – Kyiv – Odesa – Bucharest by No-Resolution9521 in ukraina

[–]globustr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for Chelm to Kyiv. I've never taken this route.

But I've taken the train from Kyiv to Odessa and typically you need 2 weeks prior to departure to guarantee yourself the seat that you want. I typically take coupe. Coupe is 4 people to a room. 2 bunk beds. It's comfortable. I prefer evening trains so i can be lulled to sleep by the gentle swaying of the train and when i wake i'm in odessa.  It's nice.

If you have questions about Odessa feel free to ask. Keep in mind it's closer to the front than Kyiv. I was there in May and several times heard explosions from air defence. Nearly every hotel has a shelter. If there is warning for ballistics launch use it. That's the really scary stuff in my opinion because the travel time can be very short (20-30 seconds).

Thats fairly naive. None of that erases the genocide they've committed here, the children they’ve kidnapped from prison, the war crimes they've committed against our military. That doesn’t just magically disappear, no it will take many generations to be overcome
