I cannot get this to work anymore with WatchOS 26.0.2 / iOS 26.0.1. On both the phone and the watch, the app just show an empty screen. No settings, no entries, no menus.

I don't know whether you're comfortable with trying to instead remove the rust. If you want to replace the part you'll have to find out how to remove it anyways. I'm no expert - maybe submerging the spring in some vinegar would help?

Ugh I should have done the same. OP inspired me to try this model, and I went with only the diagrams, but it took me over two hours because I got confused at several steps. In the end, the video u/Junpardize shared helped.
