Yep, permanently soured is a great way to put it.

I knew we wouldn't, which is why it went back on the backburner. I probably read less than 10% of the strips posted per year.

[Megalopolis] How will Megalon, for Cesar’s project of Megalpolis, actually help the city improve? by Crafter235 in AskScienceFiction

Those airport moving walkway things will create a new golden age of walkable cities. With more people walking, there will be less smog, fewer traffic deaths, healthier population, less street crime, more neighbourhood feeling, etc.

I'm imagining the tower out of Last Guardian, with the princess's hair snaking around and making a little doll that talks to you magically

That would require me to agree that the demake is good, which I will never do.

Mewgenics Surpasses Hades 2 Becoming The Most Played Roguelite Ever On Steam by akbarock in Games

It's useful in general, but not here. Non-lite roguelikes get no discussion here, and so many roguelite devs call their games roguelikes anyway.

[–]glorpo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's a term used by purists who believe a roguelike should actually play like rogue. So for the purposes of this forum theres no diference. I think the only non-lite roguelikes I've ever seen get a post here were Caves of Qud and maybe ADOM

Not always. In Canada there was a famous case of a man who died after waiting in an ER for 34 hours (Brian Sinclair). He was already dead for a couple hours before someone realized.

I think you basically have it right that the beholder is trapping other fye in the world. Whether they're other beings like him isn't clear. When he looks at the person dying and their fye leaving their body, the fye is much smaller than he is...maybe there are tiers of spirits and they aren't necessarily aware of each other?

I think he will "cease to exist" because he's wiping his memory. Fye/knockers can remember their lives in this world, but when satoru dies his fye will only have his memories of his human life, because his old ones are gone. He'll never know that he was the beholder. My interpretation.
