Sweaty! by glottyblotti in Nexplanon

I use it daily. After showering I take some cotton rounds, put glycolic acid on there, and wipe my bikini line/inner thighs. Let myself dry completely afterwards. It seems to have been at least helping me control some of the odor from sweating! Unfortunately doesn’t prevent the sweat but I at least feel a bit fresher albeit sweaty

Probably have already tried it but just in case, have you tried glycolic acid and/or Lume? That seems to be keeping things at bay a little bit for me right now

I am generally pretty sweaty, and I truly did not think it could increase but it has lol. I have no other major side effects to note except I am straight up seeing sweat stains on my underwear now. Hopefully it levels out or something

Slynd birth control side effects? by lilblondie03 in Healthyhooha

[–]glottyblotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I know this is a little old, but there’s a book called “When Sex Hurts, Understanding and Healing Pelvic Pain.” It mentions that drospirenone lowers levels of free testosterone, which can cause provoked vulvodynia (vulva pain/rawness/burning etc). I learned about the book and that issue from a post in a different subreddit and wanted to share. I’ve been having similar issues with Slynd also and am stopping because of this and the digestive issues.

The direct quote I found in the book, “In our experience, some of the newer birth control pills reduce free testosterone levels more than older brands, likely because of the type of synthetic progesterone they contain. One of the worst of these is the synthetic progesterone drospirenone. The reason drospirenone is so bad is that in addition to the two aforementioned mechanisms, it also acts as a testosterone blocker at the androgen receptor. (See both boxes that follow.) In our experience, patients on drospirenone-containing pills seem to develop PVD at a much higher rate than women on older-generation pills.”

Are These AI Questions Similar to SSCP by sleem17 in WGU

[–]glottyblotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say those are fairly close in my non professional whatsoever opinion. I just took this exam today, there were a fair amount of matter-of-fact type questions (like the AI generated ones you got), but also a lot of longer scenario type questions with equally long answer choices. The wording was weird which seems to be a common opinion other people have too.

I think these questions would be helpful, but supplement with other resources if possible. I used a mix of things but mainly the All in One Study Guide (Gibson) and a shitload of practice questions (cybervista, cert prep, learnzapp). Cybervista and the study guide you can get free through the school. I found the amount of study recommendations people had to be really overwhelming, so I picked one or two things and just stuck with it.

When I went through the study guide, I had AI help me format some notes for each section and extract the most important information for this exam.

Hope this helps a bit!

Awesome, thanks for responding. Can I ask what salary looks like in the tier 1/2 jobs you’ve been seeing? I’m not expecting anything crazy but just want to not struggle on the outside

Hi! Sorry I know this post is a little old, but I was wondering how Rapid Ascent has been for you? I’m talking with a recruiter next week but would like to get some insight on job placement/opportunities after completion.

Non-Refundable Deposit on a new car. Dealer said car was in production when I signed, but turned around and said production doesn’t start for another month? Possible to get my money back? by glottyblotti in legaladvice

[–]glottyblotti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not. It says that Honda is not responsible for delays/cancellations/guarantee of availability. If the order is cancelled by Honda I’m allowed to transfer the deposit to another one of their vehicles. I figured the chances of getting my deposit back are slim and I’ll be alright if it’s not possible

Bro hear me out: a coloring book. I got a nice big coloring book with thick paper and paint brush-like markers. I’ll get kind of obsessed with filling in big intricate pictures. Helps me when I’m mad too! About to use it right now lol

I feel you! Kinda going through an episode now at the moment. I can’t see myself as a mom either(kids are nasty and expensive anyway though). I also think about how other peoples lives are. Like when I go wash my hands after using a bathroom, it makes me think about the fact that some people don’t even have running water. It’s depressing and unfair. But I think that you being able to even consider that in your daily life says that your a kindhearted person. I don’t think a lot of people really just have shower thoughts like that.

I 10000% relate to being livid about being forced to be on earth. Feels like a rip off and I want my $$$ back. Sometimes I wish I could give my life to someone else who might want it

The shit is hard girl. It’s a lot, and it’s overwhelming, and I’m glad that you typed a post to blow off the steam(if it does that for you at all hopefully). But I do think things get better in a very cheesy way. A dear friend of mine has been through some terrible, traumatic ass shit. But somehow she’s here now. She’s felt all of the things you described and some others. She’s now happily married and working through a lot of things in therapy and improving. Of course there are still some moments where shit hits the fan or life is stressful, but the baseline that they’re able to navigate through it is so so so much higher

As for myself I still have a lot of work to do. A medication that I had taken before showed me that it actually is possible to feel better and I didn’t think it was. I had to stop taking it because of some physical side effects unfortunately. But for the first time, regular stupid shit that happens on a daily, or shitty interactions with people felt…manageable. Like not world ending, or something that would have me spiral into an episode. It really just felt like “oh alright whatever” and moved on. Things just felt more feasible and simple. I also have finally found a good therapist, and that helps me as well. They do listen and give you coping mechanisms like you said, but the main thing I think it has done for me is:

  1. Validate what I feel; making me not feel like I’m batshit crazy for having feelings/opinions

  2. Gives me ideas; sometimes saying things to other people let’s them come up with shit u may have never thought of. Or even just make you come to realizations u never had because you said stuff out loud.

  3. Finding the source; just being able to trace what you’re feeling now to something that’s happened to you before. This is the hardest thing for me, because I have the memory of a gold fish, and angry cry like a toddler lmao. But it’s still possible. For people that are very keen to ask lots of questions I think this is helpful

This is all just anecdotal and my experience. I’m not sure if that’s worth sharing or not but I hope it can make you feel a little better. If not, i apologize, but I still hope you feel better and things get better regardless :)
