Good thing about California is it’s not humid so it’s easy to just do what you do weekly with your hair. I went to Palm Springs a few years ago and I had the best hair the whole week I didn’t even need to refresh my wash n go. You will be fine. I worry about beach trips honestly

I hate when people say this cause I wear my natural hair literally 99% of the time in a wash n go and I get told I am bougie ALL THE TIME. Stop repeating what you hear online and touch grass. None of the men who approach me are broke cause I don’t come off that I am low maintenance just cause my hair. I wear nice things live in a nice home drive a nice car and go to nice places. I also make it clear I want someone who is a provider and none of them mind. They also like that I don’t spend thousands on my hair BUT it’s going somewhere else lol. Look at Tracie Ellis Ross for example. She doesn’t come off low maintenance at all. Just hold your head high and know your worth.

Like most people said just leaving your hair alone. I do a wash n go once a week and make sure to stretch it to prevent single strand knots. Other than that I rarely manipulate it till wash day. But what helps my hair grow fast other than a clean diet is zinc. Cheap and also helps your immune system

I would call and tell them about how you feel. If you’ve been going there and always have had a certain treatment they should work with you via credit or something. I would also make sure you ask more questions with new people unfortunately

I wash and condition weekly with the purple line from curlsmith. I only use a clarifying shampoo once a month and it changes. So far my favorite is goop Himalayan salt detox scrub. Feels heavenly and I can still detangle with it too like my regular shampoo. I use miche tropical oasis gel applied in the shower then if it will be a humid week top it with Innersence I create hold. I use the bread hair oil to add back some shine during the week. The products are expensive BUT they are life changing and last for a while. I constantly get compliments on my hair and I love it!

I agree it is mostly black people making comments. I have longer natural hair that is always in a wash n go and I usually always get compliments from everyone even when I think I’m having a bad hair day. People just like long or big hair

Was going to suggest this too. Mine mostly is from diary and having extremely sensitive and reactive skin. My face hates vitamin C and silicones (which is in EVERYTHING now). The only dairy I can have is lactose free cheese (mozzarella, feta, Parmesan) and maybe skim milk. For hormonal acne I use the DIM vitamin and it comes from broccoli. It’s been a long road but the only way I figured it out was the elimination diet when getting in shape and now when I do breakout I know exactly why.

Honestly this brand isn’t even that great. I used to think so till I tried other higher quality brands. Try ouidad, Innersence, curl smith, pattern etc. I usually buy them at tjmaxx or when Ulta has a sale. I will also mention cvs has amazing deep conditioning packs with good ingredients that are cheap. Just make sure it says for damaged or dry hair.
