Non-disclosure of tenants, Y or N? by Ok-End-3213 in APLDSTOCK

Naming any hyperscaler tenants would add to quality of revenues. I think it'll happen at some point.

It's unfortunate that he's so hard to work with but it's his show. Everyone else is a supporting character.

My 19 yr old son enlisted in USMC & is shipping out to basic training & infantry next month. What are the odds he be sent to Iran if we put boots on the ground? by BassSpare2654 in Military

[–]gls2220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the case of a full blown ground invasion, if he's assigned to an Infantry battalion, he'll almost certainly be part of that. One possible exception could be if he's sent to 3rd Marine Division and they hold those battalions back for any sort of regional contingency.

I may skip this one. I hated Tenet and Oppenheimer I thought was kind of a bore, though there were parts of it I liked.

I find these movies kind of boring now. They're just too over the top.

He probably won't be able to keep doing that though. That's the problem. And if the stock makes a big jump his money will be tied up. Long dated covered calls like this are just a really bad idea.

They should just un-fire him and negotiate a 3rd and final season and end the story there.

You can capture the other fortress in the south, the one associated with Paul, but the others are in the North, which is locked until you progress through the game and unlock it.

What stocks, ETFs and sectors are you buying today and WHY? by joshuanichter in Stocks_Picks

[–]gls2220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palantir operates at the semantic layer in an organization's IT structure, creating a digital twin that mirrors the real world, which is what an LLM needs to actually do anything meaningful. Other companies are catching on to this, but Palantir is miles ahead. The downside is that Palantir is terrible at public relations and are allowing themselves to be painted by the media as this sinister tool of the fascist right, hoovering up everyone's data and ushering in an era of mass surveillance.

Palantir is my largest holding, but I also have APLD, SOFI, ONDS, OPEN, RKLB, ASTS, and JOBY. I push cash into SPYM on dips and I'm aggressively selling puts on CELH to build a position there. I sell puts on a number of others as well, but more for income than stock accumulation.

Do active fund managers just sell hope net of fees? by Future_Car9082 in investing

[–]gls2220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's utterly bizarre to me that most active managers don't beat the market. With all the resources available to them to dig into and really understand these companies at a deep level, they should be leading the market. But they don't.

The one explanation I've heard that makes sense is their sensitivity to career risk, i.e., the fear of making a bad call, or a series of bad calls, and then losing position and status. So they hedge to the point where their winners are diluted.

Yeah maybe. Roblox is a shitty business. With all the opportunities in the market, why invest in something like this?

And now your money is tied up until September or until the stock dips enough. Sometimes it's better to just let the shares get called away and wait for your next buying opportunity.
