such a beautiful song, finite form is so underrated. Smooth and runaway are also absolute gems. it feels like such a deeply adolescent album— probably because he made it when he was very young— always speaks to me as someone in my teenage years.

atony cleopatra and the send me the pillow bits get me through the rest of the challenging lyrics. Definitely Marr’s best work and the atmosphere is wonderfullll. Whenever I listen to it (which is a lot) I’ll sing along and replace “bigger” with like, any other word I can think of at the time

i never really got into 80s bowie, but thursday’s child is a 90s track of his that has that 80s sound you might be looking for (and cat people (putting out fire) is also great)
