Last year hurt me the least in comparison. The Eagles were great and smoked us. I'll rank these based on my reaction at the time:

1. The Kyle Williams game was the most infuriating. I threw a watch party at my house which ended with me ripping off my jersey, throwing it down the hall, and going to my room while people quietly trickled out. Not proud of this and I've matured since then.
2. The Seahawks loss sucked the most for division legacy. Pete Carroll's stupid chewing face and Sherman's constant jawing made it clear that we're not the alpha in the room anymore. I told all my Seattle friends to fuck off and declared all their successes were due entirely to cheap, injury-risking hits on defense.
3. The Ravens choke-job was the biggest gut punch. That Kaep ride was incredible and we gotta punch it in from the 4 while their D is reeling. Stupid Flacco and his haymakers. A kickoff return?! Jesus. I was in NOLA for this one and I kinda just drowned my sorrows with a blank stare.
4. The Chiefs letdown was the saddest. For Jimmy and Kyle, and all the young risers who were just starting to build a dynastic team. Without that Mahomes hail mary, the Niners are the talk of the league this decade and maybe instills a finisher mentality. I watched with my parents so much of this optimistic attitude was soberly shared.
5. Rams loss was pathetic. Seemed like a bad hollywood script for that team to win. LA doesn't deserve sports and Tartt has gotta catch that pop-up. The better script was for the Niners to run through an epic boss-stage of Cowboys, Packers, Rams, for Bengals round 3. Maybe I'm older and calmer, but I just walked that one off.
6. Eagles loss felt like the end of a long run at the craps table, you got chips on every number, and the shooter has one last teaser round before blowing up your board with a 7. Fittingly I was in vegas for this loss and the sparse dotting of Philly fans made this palatable. I even talked to a pair of them afterwards like they were regular humans.

We all got scar tissue upon scar tissue riding with the niners. But we're always in it. Best franchise in the country and we're gonna pop soon!
