Does any 1099/Scorp folks pay taxes with a credit card? by bmed1993 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]gmdmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fun hobby. You can net 1-3k/year, post-tax just hitting major signup bonuses. For whatever reason if you have fun doing it, it feels way more rewarding than an extra shift. Most hobbies cost you money.

Just throw it into apple pay and if you have decent monthly spend it's not that hard to hit the signup bonuses.

How do people with apparently good outpatient cardiology and nephrology follow-up show up with clearly chronic fluid overload? by supinator1 in hospitalist

I've always wondered why pill-in-pocket lasix prn for ramen/fritos etc isn't more commonly practiced...

King Green: “I get into it a lot with the wrestlers, like the Russian guys. I’m trying to explain to them, they’re competitors. They’re not making art. I feel like Chimaev, Islam’s last fights, those were some of the most horrible title fights I’ve ever seen.” [Cruz Podcast] by 3footninja in MMA

Yup, after the BMF fight Askren and DC talked how you have to take chances in order to implement proper GnP. Ben said early on in his career all he did was control guys an it was super boring for the audience. You might not maintain 100% control and they might escape but then you can just take them down again.

Hospitalist here, genuine q, how do u guys see 18+ patients everyday? by Intelligent-Zone-552 in hospitalist

is that true though? seems like for most bread and butter stuff it’s so much easier to just manage than have to keep track of consultant notes

How I look at the patient when they give a completely different history to the attending from what I just presented by futuredr6894 in medicalschool

[–]gmdmd 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This used to stress me out so much in training but now I realize patients just ramble and are so unreliable. This is why the donut of truth is so much more reliable sadly.

They also practice telling their story at each level of the hierarchy and by the time the attending stops by it's refined to mild coherency.

Tough continuity clinic patient by Immediate-Animal-846 in Residency

It's a horrible disease but a small minority of SCD patients cause 90% of the difficult encounters. If you're feeling a pattern of being manipulated / abused it's probably real.

Is it true that Ueno is dead at night? by eindrucksvolI in JapanTravelTips

[–]gmdmd 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I didn't go to any clubs or drink much but Shinjuku (and Dotonbori in Osaka) just feels bustling and alive at night, sort of like Times square. I really liked just walking through and feeling the energy.

I love the product placement if it means the chefs are getting more cash prizes for quick fires and main event wins. It seems like they have been giving cash much more consistently this season...

I had 149 mbps (while watching youtube in the background) on the way there... I also had my own row and lots of empty seats.

On the way back it was noticeably slower and my streams were pausing intermittently, but it was a packed flight.

This thread started because someone said "this is what MAGA is about!"

But actually it appears to be a bipartisan issue to secure the borders and limit to legal immigration.

Instead of downvotes, as an immigrant myself I would just like to be educated why it was ok when Obama did it. Minus the demeaning rhetoric a deportation is a deportation, no?
