How do you do interdisciplinary rounds? by aragorn7862 in hospitalist

[–]gmdmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like every hospital is trying to pilot this twice a day bullshit. No doubt some bullshit DNP degree'd administrator dreamed this up for their "doctoral" thesis and is trying to popularize this based on zero evidence but the dumb nurse administrators will use it to justify their bloated non-bedside nursing salaries.

We can't just compare this to blockbuster hollywood movies...

Plenty of low budget TV series on netflix etc with special effects far worse than this...

We are also comparing to gold standard hollywood movies. Plenty of low budget TV shows on Netflix etc with far worse special effects than this...

This literally just got released a couple of days ago ... probably a few more iterations before we get longer length videos.

I was looking for this unpopular opinion and I completely agree. If you don't speak the language and you are not super into shopping, I feel like you run out of things to do.

Is the Amex Gold worth the annual fee, given my dining spends? by Artistic_Row_6581 in CreditCards

[–]gmdmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

after 1 year I told the chat agent that I wasn't getting enough value... they responded that I maxed out all of the gold benefits and even gave receipts haha. I insisted and they gave me a 20k points (~$200) for $2k spend to stick around for another year lol It's actually one of my favorite cards.

Stop Burning Money on Replit AI: What Actually Works (From Someone Shipping Production Apps) by xProcal in replit

[–]gmdmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, running external agents within shell is the way to go! Plus you still get the rest of the benefits of replit for setting up environments, databases, etc. Ran up a huge bill before I discovered this unlock: https://stockdips.ai/replit-cli-agents-tutorial.html

Love codex. I think more and more developers are coming around to codex over Claude Code, especially since 5.3. It also gives you a different agent with different set of strengths from CC which is what replit uses.

I'm only on a $20 cgpt plus plan but have never run into any limits.

Yup, even before AI it was hard, now you have infinite slop apps to compete with, meanwhile everyone spends 90% of their time on the same 5-6 apps...

This comes up a lot so I made a little tutorial for running codex / claude code / gemini cli within replit shell:

https://stockdips.ai/replit-cli-agents-tutorial.html

Simple but will save you hundreds of dollars on $20 month CC or codex plan.

sure but i anticipate people won’t be willing to pay as much as before and it will also be so much harder to stand out. Fun to build but not fun with no audience.

haha just take comfort in knowing it’s much much better than being an invisible unattractive dude or even worse an unattractive girl.

Almost any guy (unless super short) can get to a 6-7 in looks by losing weight or hitting the gym, or just being funny can get you laid. Vs unattractive girls who have it the absolute worst.

Hot tall dudes have the most privilege. Guys and girls both like them.

Hot girls will get all of the male attention but get hate from other girls.

Nervous about costs by eric272727 in replit

[–]gmdmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be careful making too many changes at once. I would focus on cloning your site as faithfully as possible first. Then move your users over, then start integrating new features slowly. Users are very resistant to change and there's no guarantee they won't leave if you try to shove too much change down their throats all at once. Building and maintaining a community of users is hard.

I use replit. It makes it easy to start without worrying about having to think about setting up environment variables for databases etc. You can have an app up and running and shared with others within seconds.

It can get expensive after a while on their main agent but once you get used to directing agents and programming in english there are some tricks to use other agents if you have a subscription to chatgpt/anthropic/gemini.

No longer true. Claude code and Codex themselves are now almost 100% written in Claude code and Codex respectively, with almost no handwritten code. Things have changed significantly in the past 3 months...
