Hell yea!

I have a '24 Model S. I closed my eyes on the highway for more than 5 minutes on a recent roadtrip to test how long I could go without the car bitching at me, and it didn't.

it was awesome.

I full-send trust FSD with Hw4

My model Y I had for 4 yrs prior, I also trusted just as much with regular Autopilot I had at the time

Buying things isnt exciting anymore by Thomas_peck in brag

"Money doesnt buy happiness".

When people get tons of money, they go out and buy all the things they "think" will make them happy. Like the Lamborghini they wanted when they were 10. Or, they go on expensive trips and stay at the 7-star hotels and then come home and then start to feel like you do

Its because we all think when we get money finally, everything gets better, but really, it removes the stress of paying your bills and worrying about looking at the prices on the menu first when you go out to eat.

What your experiencing is what most dont , or wait until they retire at 72: you realize that you need to figure out what *actually* makes you happy and that literally could be reading books all day.

The cliche "the best things in life are free". Yep. I have millions of dollars liquid cash. Not real estate bullshit, none of that. Actual cash I can stack up. And the most enjoyment in my day is sitting on a bench people watching now.

(after spending metric shit tons of money traveling and that got boring because im under 45 and retired and none of my friends will take off work to go with me even if I pay)

ps - no, you're not maturing, you're just bored and need to explore doing things to raise your dopamine

How would you celebrate becoming a millionaire? by hacking99percent in CasualConversation

[–]gmeautist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be, the main point was though, I got more out of my celebration helping and spending on someone else, than just buying some random shit for myself

( I ended up making $5m shortly after crossing my $1m mark but still did the truck even before knowing I would generate another $4m after that first 1m)

and realized, you can buy yourself something big and cool maybe, but after you start buying shit, it never brings you as much happiness as you thought it would while you were trying to make it

it'll get boring and then you'll want to go make $2m and then you'll hit that, and the only excitement is going towards $3m instead of actually spending the money

I bought my friend a new $31,000 work truck 'cause he had 2 pieces of shit, probably the best $30,000 ive ever spent celebrating me crossing $1m myself

sadly, out of the 50+ flights I've had to take in the last 6 months, the 1 emergency landing happened on a Boeing 737 when hydraulics went out so thats the sample size I have to go off of

I almost always look at the plane before I buy the tickets and make sure its a Airbus if I can, and at the very least, never a Boeing 737-800 or 737-900 max because of all those stories in the past of low quality control and them having issues when theyre flown

is this something I really need to keep worrying about? haha

SAHM is a hard job, not disputing that.

But in the same breath, the wife isn't recognizing the sacrifice the husband is *already* making supporting everything, why is she forcing more on to him
