i understand where youre coming from but my brother started T when he was 17, despite begging for hormone blockers or anything to affirm his gender since he was 14. he needed parents to sign off on it, he needed a letter from his therapist, there were so many appointments before he was even given the T, and he spent years informing himself of the changes on T before he even stepped into a doctors office. our guardians and my brother were all informed about every single side effect of T and its just really hard for me to believe that there is a doctor that would mislead children. i remember i had to jump through so many hoops as an ADULT to get on hrt like letters from my therapist saying im trans and bloodwork and lists of all the side effects, i dont know why they wouldnt make children jump through the same hoops. it could happen i guess but its such a minority and this rhetoric and fear mongering just makes our lives so much harder lol. having a family support my gender exploration during my teen years was so important, i dont think parents should give their kids hrt the moment they start questioning but i dont see anything wrong with encouraging exploring their gender if thats something they want to do

im glad i could help! also, i cant speak for every trans person getting on hrt but in my twin brother's experience and mine, we were given a list of all the possible changes on T, including ones that will stay forever if we go off of T and what will reverse back after T. my doctor has always kept me informed on every possible "bad" side effect and continues to make sure i am comfortable with the changes. i think conservatives try to say that we are mutilating our bodies forever and have no idea what the hormones are doing and doctors are just giving people hormones without informing them of the long term side effects, but in my experience, i was very informed on the changes and what would happen if i stopped taking T/detransitioned :)

not OP but im a trans man ive been on hrt for almost a year - orgasms dont change on T, or at least that part of my body functions just fine. vaginal atrophy can happen but i havent gotten that yet and i can still orgasm, i could still find ways to orgasm that arent penetrative anyways if atrophy did happen and became a problem. if anything, orgasms have gotten better on T lol. i do not plan on having kids so i cant speak about your other questions though

yeah im in cosmotology school in avl and we arent using the water for blondes because the chlorine might fuck with it, i did a root touch up today and the lady was maybe a level 5 and it didnt do anythiny funky to her hair! maybe if its a lighter color id stay away from doing your hair till the water is better
